The Salvation Army has once again begun its Angel Tree to assist more than 650 families this year in providing toys and clothes for Ellis County children this Christmas. The Waxahachie Daily

People have described Leonard Sullivan as a giving person willing to help anyone in need. Sullivan passed away on Oct. 27 leaving behind a community that is grateful for his time and service devoted to it. Sullivan was a longtime resident of Waxahachie, born June 10, 1915 in Goldthwaite, Texas. Sullivan He was raised in Texas and Minnesota, where he was a graduate of Long Prairie High School and the University of Minnesota. He and his family returned to Texas in 1956 and settled in Waxahachie. Sullivan was a life-long Rotarian and he took great pride in his service and dedication to the club. He was also a Mason, and in June 2010 he received the 70th Year Masonic Service Award. “I have known Len a long time. He was already a longtime member of the Rotary Club when I came along in 1984.
