LETTER FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The year 2023 brought immense joy but also transition. We have had transitions with survivors, staff members, volunteers, facility locations, funding, and much more. I am so thankful the Lord gave me the word transition for the year of 2023! This year of transition yielded a tremendous amount of fruit. We have brand new program partners, received an esteemed award listed in this report, are eagerly pursuing accreditation, amplified our program delivery, and we have taken time to make sure our program is the absolute best it can be!

Once again I want to lead this report with the words of survivors. Their words are truly ten times more valuable than mine.

“One Voice honestly saved my life. I had been through a lot of things that I would never wish upon somebody else. I wasn’t always this way though. I came from a loving family and friends. Things changed when I met a guy. I was a lost, scared, confused, and hurt teenage girl. I was tired of everything and I wanted a different life. So I decided to get help finally. I was scared and nervous at first walking into One Voice because I had never gotten the help I needed.”

“When I got accepted into One Voice, I had no idea how much the staff really cared about us. I’ve been in program after program and I was starting to give up hope that anyone could help or that anyone cared. The staff here all care deeply about all the girls. I have never seen a group of women so dedicated to helping the people in their program. God has truly given me the gift of being in this program.”

As you can see One Voice is a place where survivors feel loved, respected, and SAFE to heal. This is due in large part to YOU. The person reading this. YOU support One Voice. Whether YOU fight, give, serve, pray, or show up...YOU create the space for survivors to heal. Thank you for another incredible year of watching freedom and restoration blossom.

STATISTICS THAT TELL A STORY.

2023 Measuring success for the programs at OVH is a hard feat but one that One Voice embarks on. The measurement of the Journey and Haven programs restorative process is through six identified benchmarks: relational, medical/physical, psychological, spiritual, education, and transitional. Each of these focused benchmarks are assessed on an individual basis utilizing a trauma-informed modality called Trust Based Relational Intervention for each survivor throughout four quarters of a year. It is important to remember that at the end of the day it is hard to “measure healing.” Therefore One Voice has discovered that by measuring Micro Benchmarks we can recognize and SEE true Macro change over time. Both small scale and large scale objectives play a crucial role in narrating the Journey of healing.

These micro measurements provide insight into the immense effort required for the healing process.

THE YEAR IN REVIEW Safe House Project, located in California, has raised the stakes in survivor restorative care by creating the Safe House Certification (SHC) model to evaluate the quality of an aftercare program.

One Voice, seeking continual improvement to better provide for the surivors we serve, completed the SHC process and was awarded a Gold Safe House Certification across all of our programs! Gold Certification is reserved for programs offering the absolute

highest level of survivor care. Programs with a gold badge meet and exceed industry best-practices overall. In addition, One Voice was awarded a Specialized Care Badge n the area of Pregnancy & Parenting. Which means that our program is providing exemplary service to survivors who have been historically underserved.

THE YEAR IN REVIEW Experience Freedom

Huge Milestones!

In every situation we celebrate the win, whether big or small. We take the time to celebrate the small accomplishments as we all work toward the big goal. From birthday celebrations to graduations and job promotions, survivors have experienced the joy of celebrating life's milestones. These moments remind them of their resilience and the bright future that lies ahead.

Our focus this year was to expand on the "Art of Freedom" concept, offering guests unique opportunities to engage with the healing avenues our program provides to survivors we are privileged to serve. We were immensely thankful to have had a room filled with sponsors, donors, volunteers, friends, and the incredibly generous Lubbock community, all gathered to support One Voice. The survivors we have the privilege of serving witnessed the love and support of a community that will forever be etched in their memories, serving as a reminder that they are not alone on their journey to healing.

This year we were honored to be the beneficiary for the Jab Cares Gala and Women Behind the Brand.
