Manulife expands health offering with dacadoo partnership

Manulife has announced a partnership with dacadoo, a Switzerland-based global digital health platform provider, to enhance the insurer’s digital offerings in Asia.

Under this new partnership, dacadoo will strengthen Manulife’s existing health engagement platform, UK (/uk/) US (/us/) CA (/ca/) AU (/au/) NZ (/nz/) Asia ManulifeMOVE, to help customers better understand their health and develop healthier habits, a  press statement said.(/asia/) The new functionalities will be available to policyholders in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Vietnam from May 2020.

The platform’s enhanced capabilities will make use of dacadoo’s patented Health Score technology, and will provide customers a scienti c and simple scoring method to measure how healthy they are and what they need to do to stay healthy, the statement added.

According to dacadoo, the algorithm behind it is based on over 2,500 clinical papers and extensive scienti c data. These will help Manulife’s customers to make better health decisions by encouraging them to take simple, preventative actions, such as better nutrition, exercise, and sleep habits, to improve their long-term health.
