S h a p i ro Principal

Welcome to another exciting season of Bronco football! I look forward to watching our boys battle and compete for a league and valley championship. It is exciting to have head coach Mike Jacot and his entire staff working towards developing winners inside and outside the football field. On behalf of the students and staff at the Clovis North Educational Center, we would like to thank those student-athletes, coaches, football boosters, parents and staff members who work diligently to make the 2019 season a great experience for our community. As you browse through the program, you will notice a variety of individuals and groups who have made CNEC a great place to go to school. As principal, I look forward to developing bonds with these individuals to enhance the overall experience for our players and football community. I am honored and humbled to be able to work with not only the best staff in the district, but arguably the nation. Their dedication and commitment to student success inside and outside the classroom is not only inspiring, but also contagious. Our staff understand the high expectations and standards each player strives for every day and is willing to support these endeavors. I would be amiss if I did not recognize the commitment of our parents. Thank you for your willingness to hold your children to a high standard while providing the love needed to see your child succeed. Thank you for putting forth your time and energy to ensure the success of the football program. Your positive partnership is the reason we will be successful this season. As we witness our student-athletes and coaches compete, please remember to remain positive towards opponents and referees. It is our hope to always “win with class and lose with dignity. The Clovis North Educational Center will always remain a model for exemplary behavior for high school athletics. Good Luck, Joshua Shapiro, Ed.D. Principal

Go Broncos!

Clovis North

Athletic Director

Coby Lindsey Welcome to the 2019 season of Bronco football. We in Broncoland are so excited to have Coach Mike Jacot at the helm. Coach Jacot has made a huge impact in a short amount of time. Coach Jacot has a tireless work ethic and relentless pursuit of excellence. Coach Jacot is supported by a talented, hardworking and caring group of assistant coaches who have already given countless hours in coaching. Coach Jacot and the boys are looking forward to bringing our fans a brand of athletic football that rivals the best in the T.R.A.C. A daunting summer of unprecedented heat has not stopped our football athletes from putting in physical and mental training: weights, technique, conditioning and coming together as a team have made the Broncos strong. We have put together another challenging pre-season schedule that will require our best and most focused football. We look to move into our TRAC schedule with some hard-hitting experience. The TRAC is always strong and a source of rivalries steeped in time and tradition. I encourage all of you to be a part of the Friday night lights; stand up and root for the Broncos. It’s going to be a great season.

It is with great anticipation that we want to welcome all of you to the 2019 Granite Ridge football season. This year’s football staff has been working extremely hard with our young athletes to prepare them for what will surely be an exciting season. We know that Bronco Football would not be successful without significant dedication and commitment demonstrated by our Bronco families and our amazing fans. I would like to thank the Quarterback Club and all of our parent volunteers for all of their hard work and enthusiasm in making Bronco Football the best program it can be. In our “pursuit of victory with honor” we strongly urge our Bronco community to exhibit positive support for all our athletes, coaches as well as the opposing teams and officials. The experience and lessons learned by our student-athletes through their participation in athletics is something our young athletes will carry with them through their lives. Let’s continue to show the rest of the league that we do things the right way.

Head football coach

Mike Jacot

Bronco Family and Friends, It’s an exciting time to be a Bronco. This program has a proud football history in such a short amount of time. Coach Simons, Coach Hall, and Coach Martinez have all moved this program in a positive direction. I am honored and humbled to be entrusted by our community to be the next head football coach here at Clovis North. Football is the ultimate team sport and it takes an unwavering team commitment to make a championship program. The Bronco Family has started off the right way and set the tone for all events to come. I want to thank our parents for their tireless work to make tonight a success and their efforts off the field to ensure that we have success on the field. Our staff and players have been relentlessly attacking this off season; pushing weights, installing offensive and defensive schemes, and learning to trust and respect like a family. Our administration has demonstrated their commitment to the continued success of Bronco Football. Success is determined by more than just wins and losses. The game of football provides the opportunity to learn life skills. These skills will carry your son way beyond the playing field. My staff and I are dedicated to serving your sons and providing the type of environment needed for success. I would like to reiterate my gratitude for your support and future support. Proud to be a Bronco, Mike Jacot, Head Football Coach, Clovis North Football

Quart erback Club The Quarterback Club is a parent organization established to provide support for our coaching staff. Through team management and organization we free our coaches to focus on their team’s daily workouts and preparation for our opponents, so that we can win games! The Quarterback Club also provides support to our players and parents by maintaining updated communication via Shutterfly team websites, providing hydration and pre-game meals for all teams before all games throughout the season. Other tasks that the Quarterback Club takes on each season are fundraising, merchandise production and sales, money management, uniform management, equipment procurement and management, transportation, snack bar, game program and poster production. At Granite Ridge and Clovis North we are in a unique position that gives us a competitive advantage over most schools. Our football program is more comprehensive than most because our Quarterback Club takes care of five teams (7th through varsity) as opposed to most programs that only take care of three teams (freshman through varsity). This gives us a competitive advantage because we all share the same practice fields, equipment, and the overall coaching philosophy that comes from our Director of Football, Mike Jacot. However, taking care of five teams creates some challenges and is more expensive to run overall. This is why the Quarterback Club exists. The goal of the the Quarterback Club is to provide for our players at Granite Ridge and Clovis North. We raise money so that each player that leaves our program upon graduation takes with them an experience that will benefit them for a lifetime. It is well documented that students who participate in sports teams make better employees, are more likely to finish their education and report having had a good experience during their high school years. Over the past 8 years, 37 student-athletes who represented themselves on the football field at Clovis North went on to play at a higher level, including such schools as UCLA, USC, US Naval Academy, Army and Fresno State. In fact, five former players are now listed on Fresno State’s depth chart to start the 2017 season. We have a track record of getting our athletes into college and we would like to continue that success. So, moving forward, we will need the support of ALL our parents -- from 7th grade to varsity. Please, get involved! It will take an active Quarterback Club to sustain our football program for the years ahead. Each Team Manager is listed on this page to the right. Please contact your team manager to find out how you can get involved and support Granite Ridge and Clovis North Football.
