School can be crazy this time of year, so make sure you are staying on top of it. This month marks the last month in my involvement in marching band. This means that this month has been an emotional roller coaster for me. But enough about me, let’s talk key club!
On the Key Club side of things, since FRN has passed, things have been pretty easy going. However, just because there are not as many service events doesn’t mean you should stop getting those service hours. Remember, there are many other ways to serve your community. For example, use online games or participate in your club’s service week. Anywayssss, this month’s newsletter is Thanksgiving themed. I am forever grateful for Key Club and all the great people I have met through this club. Also, my committee has helped me so much through my term, thus far, so thank you! <3
What happens when you get changing fall weather and new tv shows to binge watch? That’s right Upper East Side, your LTG has a certified Gossip Girl addiction. But that won’t stop me from working hard to serve you all each and every day. Speaking of serving…I’m on the lookout for the next red panda who will be replacing me! We have our LTG Interest Form that is out now and I ask that all prospective candidates fill out this form so I know who to look out for!
Besides LTG business, We have our November DCM on November 20th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the American Graffiti Museum. This will be a potluck so make sure to show up and bring something to share. We have a lot of future service events, especially as we head into the holiday season as we get into events such as the City of Lights Parade, Spirit of 5K giving and Breakfast with Santa (a Kiwanis sponsored event).
I encourage you all to take advantage of the holiday service opportunities and earn some hours. Remember that January 31st is when you must complete all service hours to be used for awards such as MRP and Contest submissions. Meaning that if you want to earn Bronze Member Recognition, you need to earn 50 hours by January 31st.
That’s all I have for you all for now! I hope you enjoy this gorgeous fall weather and have some time for yourselves in these busy weeks (hopefully some time to watch gossip girl). XOXO, Gossip Girl

The October DCM was a fun event where we practiced our chants for the FRN to try to win the spirit stick back to back. It was very fun with different stations with many different foods and drinks and was fun since I played football most of the time lol. I liked the energy when practicing our chants since winning the spirit stick again would be cool. I also liked talking with my friends from Enoch’s and meeting other kids from different schools, which was probably my favorite part about the event aside from patching the chants was seeing my friends from other schools and meeting new ones. Also going to chipotle with Jake Rithy and Stanton was fun too, helping raise money for the club.
“It was a whole lot of fun and I really hope you all try to attend next year!“

Scream!! Cheer!! We let those other divisions know that WE ARE HERE! On October 19th, glorious Division 46N, overlooked by our hardworking Kiwanis advisors and our beautiful LTG, Aarushi Vyas, went to Six Flags in Vallejo for the annual Fall Rally North event. The journey would start at around 6:30 in the morning,(4:30 for this author) when those participating met at the Society for Disabilities office in downtown Modesto and checked in. While awaiting the buses, our members waited with excitement and anticipation for what they were about to experience - it was truly an emotional ride indeed (pun intended). At around 7:30, the bus arrived, and our little crew set off, practicing their chants, and getting energized and spirited for that Spriti session along the way. When the members arrived, the amusement park was packed with fellow Key Clubbers in all colors, from all around California, bringing with them so much spirit it could be heard in cheers from a distance.
Everyone was given around two hours to enjoy what the theme park had to offer. This author and her dearest ride and die, Saakshi Phatak <3, went on many rides togethersome fun, others downright horrifying - and made every minute last. When it came to the spirit session, everyone grouped together around our LTG and headed in. We all screamed and cheered, and put every ounce of our hearts into winning, but unfortunately, it wasn’t our time to shine this year.
Keeping in mind that there is always another chance, we lifted our heads, filled our hearts (and our stomachs), and enjoyed the rest of the day at the park. Finally, we all headed home, filling the bus with songs and spirits that we still had within us. Although it was not day for the history books, it was a day of so many memories, and that kind of euphoria last forever more.
our checked the colors, cheers the screamed wasn’t hearts a will
