Hello Froggies! My name is Vanessa Yang, and I’m honored to be serving as your next Lt. Governor of our lovely division. Over the past weekend at District Convention, our IP Lt. Governor, Vince Nguyen of Costa Mesa, was retired and I was officially installed, along with all officers! This marks the beginning of a new term for everyone, and a hard goodbye for all of our seniors. I invite you all to my Division Council Meeting on May 21st at Bill Barber Park, where we will be making dog toys. Please contact your club president for more information. This year, our division had 9 attendees at District Convention in Sacramento on April 8-10. At DCON, members were able to attend various types of workshops, spirited general sessions, voted for the district’s new executive board, received distinguished awards, and all together bonded as a froggy ohana. There were over 2,400 Guardians of Service at the 2016 District Convention from California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Next year’s DCON will take place in Anaheim, CA in April.
Rhyan Phan Rhyan Phan of Corona del Mar Key Club attended District Convention over his spring break and has been active in Key Club since Fall Rally. He is a major representative of his home club at division events and is proactive in asking about upcoming division events.

Costa Mesa Congratulations to Costa Mesa Key Club for being the division’s club of the month! Two out of the three distinguished officers from our division were from Costa Mesa: Nancy Le for Distinguished Treasurer and Vince Nguyen for Distinguished Lt. Governor. They were recognized on stage in front of thousands during our District Convention.

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you should be attending Region 3’s Officer Training Conference in June. Workshops will be officer based and general, and the current R3 Lt.
