Cover Letter

Mr. Jesse J. Mora Principal, Associate AIA D3 Studios Int'l Interest in drafting began at the age of 5 year's, having taking note to a shoebox my dad hid away, filled with drafting tools from a night class of drafting that had been cancelled since his return from serving in the U.S. Army. One day my parents had seen me using a compass making circles, sating "Now we know what our son will grow up to become, an Architect". At age 13 year's I attended my first drafting class, it was there I knew this was to become my journey. Throughout my drafting career I've been in the company of great mentor's, Mr. James T. Gonzales, my Drafting College Instructor, and Mr. Robert L. Earl Architect A.I.A. Emeritus, my business colleague, highly experienced in high-end estate’s with such clientele as Mr. Donald Trump & Mr. Rick Hilton, Real Estate Investor’s. Both have willingly contributed their time, effort’s & energy developing & furthering my skills that are much needed in this challenging profession. And yet I can always be found checking out job sites, Architectural Cues, etc., all while broadening my horizons; and to all disciplines that play an important role of our ever developing drafting arena I've had the pleasure of being involved with for over 40+ years. What could you expect from me? This can be summed up in one word, "Driven" all while creating "noteworthy staples" amongst all competitors, thus stated, "No Compromise". ..."We are using Autodesk Land Desktop 3 software. When Jesse came to work with us he had not used this Cad format. He learned the software very quickly. It's apparent that he has a background in drafting. When Jesse has a question he asks to be sure he is doing it correctly and will certainly help others any chance he gets. He is a real "team player" and I am sure he will work hard in any situation. Added Mr. Gonzales my drafting class instructor, placed me in measuring the Glendale Community College Library for a future remodeling project.

General Overview Experience Experienced in the development of Architectural Surveys, As-built drawings, Boundary Surveys, Legal Descriptions, Land Title & ALTA Surveys, Lot Line Adjustments, Final Plats, Records of Survey, Topographic Maps & Tree Preservation Survey Plans. Also experienced in the use of Land Survey equipment such as Sokkia, Tremble & Total Station, knowledgeable with description key files ‘field-codes’ utilizing ASCI survey point files from data collectors and the like; having been exposed to working out with a survey crew and coming to understand their procedures & methods of land surveying involving such elements as setting up, site control, taking shots, sectioning, topography, etc. Available when the need arises, to accompany a survey crew and assist as desired in order to meet the ‘most time sensitive deadlines that is so crucial to one of the oldest professions. Commercial: Developed ALTA Survey’s for new & existing commercial structures in and around Los Angeles, CA, USA as well with on-site verification ‘as-built’ for a commercial shopping center located in Calabasas, CA, USA. Also, assisted with field layout and documentations involving existing parking structures and light commercial buildings in and around Los Angeles, CA, USA Residential: Developed residential condominium conversion exhibit documents located in and around Los Angeles, CA, USA. In addition, assembled together new housing tract construction staking certificates for Orrin Thompson Homes, located in Minneapolis, MN, USA, as well as other home builders such as Lundgren Brother’s and the like. Also, assisted in the development of ALTA Survey’s & Tentative Maps for existing apartment complexes in and around Los Angeles, CA, USA as well as in areas in and around Minneapolis, MN, USA. Schools: Assisted in the verification to prove a new L.A.U.S.D. school that was being developed was within the legal property lines, and not encroaching over into the city’s right-of-way. Utilities: Developed civil site, street & utility staking plans for the City of Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. Also, assisted in areas such as curb & gutter, lighting, demolish & removal, storm & sewer, utility and other various civil plans for a new IKEA store to be located in Minneapolis, MN, USA.
