I’m very proud of you, and I hope you’re proud of your grades. Thank goodness final week is done, and we are now on vacation. Its such a great feeling especially when I had such a koalty year with everyone. You all are one of the reasons why I stay in key club and in this position. You have all supported me and continue being kind to me which I treasure dearly. Thank you for everything, and I plan to make you proud with the works I do. Even though it’s winter break, you should not forget that key club will still be going on! We will have lots of fun events for everyone. There will be events going on at various locations, and you will be gift wrapping as well as spreading awareness of the service projects we do to people in the community. Also, District Convention is coming up VERY SOON. If you are planning to go, you should save your money. I know it can be very costy which is also another reason why you should help out the club you serve with gift wrapping. They help lower the cost which is such a huge help. Have a great winter break, and I hope you enjoy January’s newseltter. Throughout this newsletter, you will be able to view the fun events we had in the past and more to come. There are lots of pictures taken by Division Media Coordinator, Jay. You should look and try to find yourself. Maybe you will be on the koalaty rewind too. Therefore don’t forget to #koalatyrewind on your pictures!

Something that all of you should be looking forward to. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas or not this holiday season, I hope you will all enjoy the winter break. Winter Break is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate the new year, spend time with family, finish winter break homework, and be stress free! Take this freedom and make it a winter break you won’t forget! Although we are on break, we will still have many service events. Serving the community during our break is an amazing opportunity to give back. I believe that each and every one of you can spread the holiday spirit by serving the home, school, and community you love. School is out! It’s Winter Break and we are all free from school. Take this opportunity to bond with your family and friends by the fireplace while spending quality time with them. Many times, we take our friends and family for granted but it’s important to remind them of how much they mean to us. With so much free time on our hands, use this time wisely. Spend some time for yourselves and treat yourselves as well! Winter Break will not last long. For some of us, it is the last winter break we will ever have in high school. There will be numerous opportunities for everyone in our Division during this holiday season. Don’t forget to participate in our DCMs, Fundraisers, and service events. One of the most eventful service events during the winter season is rose float decorations. Personally, this is one of my favorite events in Key Club International. We are able to contribute toward building a large float that will be premiered on New Year’s Day! While helping to build these floats, we are also able to bond with many other Key Clubbers from across the California Nevada Hawaii District! Don’t miss out on this opportunity that comes once a year. Have an amazing winter break with your loved ones by your side. The Cleveland President, Jared Ngao, “Fall Rally 2014 was an extremely memorable experience. I had no idea how rewarding Fall Rally 2015 would be. It was definitely one of my highs as a President. I helped me put everything into context and reminded me of the goal with which I started, to work towards the most enjoyable experience for the members

This year is coming to a good end with the holidays. Even the volunteer events are showing it. There is gift wrapping and giving thanks. What everyone has to look forward to now is elections for the new officers. Hopefully the elections will go as planned and that there will be more holiday based events. – Shelsy Hernandez

Northridge Academy High School Officer of the Month Emma Pineda
On November 28 historian, Emma Pineda went to a joint service event with Kennedy high school. In this event they stood in front of a mall and had a free gift wrapping stand. We wanted to spread the spirit of Christmas and service through this event. This small service event put smiles on people’s faces as they were grateful to have their gifts wrapped for free. Emma says that its small events like these that spread positivity and make people happy and grateful to live in their community. She hopes to have more events like these in the near future. Club Goals It’s that time of the year again, time for the current board to step down and let the newly elected step up. It’s the current board’s job to make sure the election goes smoothly and fairly. Our board represents our club which is why we want hardworking board members. Our goal for the election process is to make sure we get the most dedicated board members for the 2016 term. Our informational meeting is going to show members how time consuming it is to be a board member. They have to know that this is a serious job that requires sacrifice. Our board hopes that with this meeting we will receive dedicated board members.

Holiday Gift Wrapping Holiday Gift Wrapping took place in the Porter Ranch Plaza. This event is one of my favorites as it brings in the holiday spirit. This event has been held annually for as long as I have been a part of this club. I believe that this is a way to show. The community that we are able to give back. Another good thing about this is that we can promote this organization to those families who have children who may be attending high school soon. -Darren Viloria My last Fall Rally South was one that I’ll never forget! Seeing every club so well represented made me so proud to serve as Monroe's Key Club President! My favorite part of Fall Rally South was while we were waiting to go inside the Golden Bear Theater,because so many members were leading cheers. This was my favorite part because it meant that members were falling in love with Key Club and couldn't wait to show their koalaty pride once we entered the theater. Being inside the theater and cheering our hearts out was an amazing experience. I stood next to members that I had never met and quickly bonded with them through cheers and by singing D..2...5...E! What made me the happiest from Fall Rally was hearing all of the Monroe members along with other members saying how they couldn’t wait to attend their next Key Club event and their next Fall Rally! From many spirit sessions, to putting together 156 spirit packs, and making it to the final round of the spirit session, I am so honored and so proud to be in Division 25 East! Although I am sad that it’s over, I am so excited for District Convention so we can be Guardians of Service! -Jemmy Moreira

“I learned that hard work is key to life. I also l learned that when it comes to events like these, everyone should work together and cooperate with each other. It was me, Amanda, Joshua, Kayla Sara, Katie & Jillian, who mainly worked at the water table. We were passing out water to the runners/walkers. It was a great experience working with new people and also with D25W who was also volunteering there (they were mainly just the “cheerleaders” motivating the runners/walkers.” -Megan, 12th grade
