ALLPRO AUTO AND OFF-ROAD GP SERIES FINALE AT TWISTED MX

Tom Claerhout shows that corner speed on a 125 is very important, and it looks cool TWISTED MX (Milan, MI) | October 13, 2019 Twisted MX was the final round of the Allpro Auto and Off-Road GP Series. It was a bit cold but we were given an absolutely perfect track to race on. They had received a bunch of rain through the week but the crew did a great job and all the racers were very happy. MIAT stepped up for our holeshot awards and raised the bar and gave $50 for each winner. We had another great turnout of 50 to make the average GP turnout a huge 55 signups per event. All the racers had a great day and are looking forward to returning to this awesome facility. The Innovation class was out first with Mark Cook leading the way and grabbing

the first MIAT holeshot. He would lead for a few laps before William Dale would take over after a slow start. Will then led the race of the race to take the moto win. Mark was putting in some solid laps but Kris Gillett was slowly catching him. Every lap the gap closed until he made the pass on the last lap with only a few corners to go to take second place. Mark rounded out the podium after a great start and good pace. Gene Huntoon had a great start and was in contention for the holeshot. He also had a back and forth race for a few laps with Ray Brooks until Ray had a tip over and lost a few spots. Gene went on to an easy fourth place finish as Ray picked himself up and made his way back into a top five before the checkered flag. Nik Michael started near the back

and was steady and mistake free for the entire moto before ending up in sixth. Joe Sangster was mid pack off the start and was wheel to wheel with Connor Goulet for the middle part of the race. Then Connor pulled out a slight gap before sending it off the bowl turn headed towards the drag strip. He was way off in the weeds trying to make it back in the track and Joe made his way past. Joe went on to take seventh as Connor was finally back on the track. He had one lap to go and was closing in on Blake Argue. Blake had a decent start and slowly slipped back and even had a tip over on the last lap. Connor took advantage and made the pass to steal eighth with Blake remounting quick and taking ninth. Steve Adema and Rick Murphy had a good battle going for the

first nine laps. Rick then started to lose time to Steve as he pulled away to round out the top ten. Rick just missed out in eleventh as Joe Hovorka was also out putting in some steady laps and keeping an eye on the leaders and keeping clear of their race. He rode well but finished up in twelfth. The Historic and Schoolboy racers were up next with Jamie Powers making his return and grabbing the MIAT holeshot. Ian Lee would take the lead for a few laps before Jamie took it back on lap three. He led for a few laps and then Tom Claerhout took the spot for two laps. Then they came around to get the white flag and it was Jamie back out front. He held on for the last lap to take the moto win with
