Cultural Hospitality I Journey of realizing oneself without the borders of places. Nowhere to now here.

DESIGN DESCRIPTION Young Cultural Nomads are on a consecutive rise amongst Third Culture Kids, who are children who spent their significant years in places that are not their parent's homeland. They are often referred to as Global Nomads, people who are from 'Everywhere and Nowhere.' because of having no solid roots, the uncertainty of longterm future, and identity crisis. This project is a journey of realizing oneself without the borders of places. Passports can be taken away, but the experience is carried within the person. Where the person calls home comes from wherever they go and continually builds up. Identity is built up with these very particular experiences and the places they occur. Everyone is multi-local.

Fragrance Butler Scent immediately brings memory. The journey starts with users guided to their curated scents, which will be used during the entire stay. The scent that lingers on body and mind will encapsulate memory and will be carried within the users.

Tearoom Өлзий хээ (Alkhan khee) = Mongolian historical pattern will be used for partition wall.

Amenity Shop Inspired by the Moohoo skylight. The Light color will change throughout the day like how the sun rises and sets in the Yurt.

Private Dining Custom banquette seating inspired by the Yurt.

Nomads carry inly essentials but with historical patterns on it that represent their identity. Textile with curated patterns on ceiling and custom banquette surrounds the guests. A La Carte will be provides with seasonal menus that the guests will prereserve with their interests of cultural dishes.

Guestroom Custom-designed wall full of cultural pattern that also works as backlighting makes the guest fully experience the Өлзий хээ (Alkhan khee) = Mongolian historical. Өлзий хээ originated from hammer seal which varies to 110 patterns. The way these patterns are created is by the same pattern repeated endlessly through selfreplication which connects to the concept of identity is something that can be revitalized and refigured.

Gigantic bamboo structures draw them into this breathtaking realm that Regent excursions program offers with over 450 ports of call. 01 EXPERIENCE HALL Experience Hall is a long hallway space that users enter first to get to the bar. It represents the bar's concept, of condensation by using hexagonal particles connecting to form a complex chain as a whole.

CLIENT :IMAGE BAKERY BRANDING IN MOTION Found in 2005, Image Bakery makes videos for creators such as architects, artists, designers or companies. Video installation, architectural video and making of film with top-notch crews.

IDENTITY The rapid growth background of image bakery lies in the 'boundary'. By erasing the boundaries of motion graphics, it expanded its scope to branding. Motion branding is also called channel design or network branding design, and in other words, it is the work of imprinting a company's identity with movement.

The North and south facades of the tower are adorned with 28,000 hand painted blue and white ceramic tiles (Azulejos) depict tropical vegetation.

For facades with stained-glass, depicts the rummaking process. The interior of the Jewel Box is lined with floor to ceiling mirrors, so when the light goes through, the building glows.

PRESERVATION

Blue and white Azulejos tile is used for the entire south interior wall of the Tower. Miami night sky and the Azul tile being reflected on the metal beams. The design goal of preserving the historic feature and bringing the culture inside the facade.

Reflective surface was chosen as the material to have the connection with the annex where the interior is with mirror walls. Each metal edges represents the diversity culture and people in Miami which is being merged as whole different form by the reflection.

MAIN CONFERENCE ROOM HEAVY CURVES I REFINED, INTIMATE CONVERSATION

Variety of merging walls and ceiling design shapes softly showing the merging reflection. Warm, soft tones of beige and bronze metals, and heavier curves are used considering more intimate and refined values and conversations are held in the main conference room.

Gathering space, which also works for a huddle room for 2-3 people.

Keeping the open office layout, these little individual areas make the flexibility for people who needs more privacy in acoustic.

04 IDEA CUBE RAW IDEAS I SHARPER, LINES, FORMS One of the fewer place where sharper, geometrical lines and shapes are used in design, considering where more rough and raw ideas and conversations are held in space. Custom ceiling design of different triangle colliding into each other .

ARCHIVE SPACE Archive space is where the history of Image bakery's challenges, works, and history get stored. The location of archive room was chosen for that reason where the blue and white Azul tile was which is the south wall of the facade.

The Azul tile, on the back of the bookshelf brings the Miami's culture inside the building while making a connection with image bakery's history.

Cafe + Bar located on the 5th floor is only using half of the floor which allows a viewing point to the 4th office area. Lounge area is showing lively rhythm by the curved lines of the floor and ceiling design.

Unlike the other spaces, Lounge is where casual conversations are formed.

Circulation area where people pass by with more interactions are in cold tones whereas the sitting area ceiling to wall are surrounded by warmer tones of bronze metal.

Awakening Soul Union Mission Shelter Design A Sanctuary of Renewal and Empowerment DESIGN DESCRIPTION

There has also been a commensurate increase in the number of unaccompanied women who are unsheltered – 47%. Data conducted by the California Policy Lab indicates unsheltered women have higher rates of physical health, mental health, and substance abuse concerns, and on average spend more than a decade without the benefit of stable housing. 80% of unsheltered women self-report trauma or abuse as the cause of their homelessness. Providing space that inspires and supports refugees and society in embracing change, life, and hopes through healing-centered engagement in expressive arts, community outreach, and collaboration.

KID AREA Wool felt is the primary material utilized in public spaces and areas connected to other spaces without complete enclosure. This strategic choice is especially prominent in the children's play area directly linked to the dining space. It enables parents to observe their children while ensuring control over acoustics.

In spaces where trauma and abuse survivors gather, this open layout becomes crucial. The use of felt and wood slats allows for optimal acoustic control, creating an environment where users can feel secure about the safety of their children, providing the space with increased confidence, and fostering a sense of security.

Central to the ambiance of Awakening Soul is the dynamic play of light, a thematic focus extended into the Resource Center. Motion sensor lighting is strategically incorporated, seamlessly adapting to the movements of users. The Resource Center is envisioned as a hub where users encounter a transformative journey. Within this illuminated space, users find motivation and acquire valuable knowledge to navigate their paths back into society.

CAFETERIA Sanctuary of organic comfort is a harmonious space where the warm embrace of nature intertwines effortlessly with contemporary aesthetics, crafting an ambiance that nurtures both appetite and soul.

Organic curvy lines take center stage in the custom lighting design providing a welcoming space for individuals on their journey toward healing and renewal. The design philosophy draws inspiration from nature, translating into custom seating out in the yard that emanates from the concept development model.
