Brandon Davis was a typical college student juggling school with work and a social life when he was faced with a difficult reality: the active 20-year-old was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in the last few weeks of the fall 2017 semester.

While undergoing 14 rounds of chemotherapy over nearly nine months, along with 29 rounds of radiation over a span of six weeks, Brandon continued to be vigorously dedicated to his education to achieve his dream of becoming a high school math teacher.

With a final full-time load of classes in spring 2019, Brandon was selected as the 2019 Outstanding Graduate of the Year and transferred to CSULB in the fall.
