“CFG took great care of us. They showed me my ‘wishlist’ at closing. The property that Cynthia found for us met every single ‘wish’ on the list.”
- BUYER CLIENT, DOWNTOWN

“We had a great, stress free experience with Cynthia and her team. All of them are super professional and great communicators. They convinced us with data on the right strategy and pricing. The marketing package they put together is the best we have had in the several houses we have sold. And the results were great, i.e., we sold much quicker than most units and at close to asking price.”

A NOTE FROM CINDY

There’s a classic song about relationships that I learned at Girl Scout camp in fourth grade that is just as relevant today as it was then. Some of you may know the lyrics: “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.” Working in real estate is all about relationships. I have had the great privilege of being a small part of important chapters in hundreds of lives over the course of the past twenty-seven years in this crazy business.
Almost three decades ago, when the warehouses along the riverfront were just being converted to lofts and condos, I had the pleasure of helping to sell those new homes to many pioneering individuals. Those original owners have a special place in my heart, since they were the first people to take a chance on downtown neighborhoods. We still have plenty of those original owners living in the historic Mill District, but as you would expect over nearly three decades, lives change; babies are born, jobs are changed, people get married, kids graduate, a spouse gets ill, grandchildren arrive. We have the privilege of helping our clients through each chapter along the way, and many of those clients and their families have became dear friends of mine. This year I had the honor of welcoming back to the neighborhood an original owner from North Star Lofts. They first purchased in 1999, moved out state after eighteen years, and now, many years later we have just helped them purchase a new home right back in their old neighborhood! It has been a special touchstone moment to be able to help bring their journey full circle back to Minneapolis.
As we celebrate a new year, we also celebrate and honor all the changes that have taken place, and those that are upcoming. We have said goodbye to some neighbors and warmly greeted equally as many. We have witnessed new restaurants pop up, and new small businesses become established. Our team gets most excited by joining those who continue to invest and grow our city, block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood. Everyone has a part to play, and we are constantly humbled to join those who continue to champion for this beautiful city.

From our team, we wish you a very Happy New Year. May you be surrounded by your own silver and gold.

THE HISTORIC MILL DISTRICT/ DOWNTOWN EAST

The Mill District takes its name from the former flour mills that dotted the bank of the Mississippi River. This historic neighborhood was once the foundation for Minneapolis’ claim as the flour milling capital of the world. A hundred years later those mills have been converted to luxury lofts, and the neighborhood is known for its museums, cultural amenities, and access to a world class park system. The Cynthia Froid Group is proud to have called the Mill District home since 2009.

STONEBRIDGE LOFTS

GATEWAY DISTRICT

Four Seasons Minneapolis Hotel and Private Residences is the anchor for the Gateway District. The Gateway District was the original downtown when Minneapolis was first established.
Now it is home to some of the most significant contemporary architecture and influential businesses in the city. With the arrival of Four Seasons Private Residences Minneapolis, the Gateway District has quickly become one of the most exclusive residential neighborhoods in Minneapolis. HISTORIC NICOLLET ISLAND EAST BANK
ST. ANTHONY WEST
MARCY HOLMES

This collection of Northeast neighborhoods lines the east bank of the Mississippi River. The neighborhoods are cultural hotspots, with an abundance of independent restaurants, artists, and galleries. The wide cobblestone streets give the neighborhood a charming European feel, while the nearby University of Minnesota campus brings energy and vitality. Northeast is a calm center, a serene urban oasis surrounded by downtown excitement.

NORTH LOOP/CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT NORTH

Perhaps no neighborhood in Minneapolis has received as much national attention as the North Loop. The former warehouse district is the hot spot for trendy restaurants, small boutiques, and independent breweries. Adjacent to the North Loop is the Central Business District, the bustling and glittering city center, with Elliot Park a close neighbor. Despite its name, the Central Business District is home to plenty of housing, high rises and historic alike. The North Loop and Central Business District are full of the hustle, the bustle, and those who work hard and play harder.

“Working with Cindy and the CFG Team was a pleasure. They helped us navigate a unique sale and purchase simultaneously with expertise and much needed support. The team is such a big part of the downtown real estate market that we always felt knowledgeable and our expectations were met at every step. I would strongly recommend working with the CFG Team.”
- SELLER AND BUYER CLIENT, DOWNTOWN WEST

“We came to this group during a most difficult time after the death of a family member. This team was our point of contact, not just for the sale, but for renovation suggestions, cleaning services and help in understanding a market of a city we were not living in. I cannot say enough about the amazing team and how we are forever grateful for their partnership!”
