T

he project aims to analyse and diagnose the most recurrent problems related to active and tactile mobility in the historic center of Goiânia, Goiás. Its urban intervention proposal is to design routes that enhance the landscape and the concepts of walkability, encouraging active citizen participation in the city.

It will implement an urban park and pilot furniture to provide support for everyday experiences.

Study and analysis of urban and downtown areas, developing urban, landscape and architectural design at the intervention site. The project was divided into different scales and worked on the elaboration of walkability, living areas, playgrounds, an openair food court, and the elaboration of urban furniture to be replicated in the downtown of the city.

An urban plan for walking around the downtown has been drawn up, including bike lanes, sidewalks, and urban infrastructure equipment. ·The total area of the project has a size of 4.690,.33m², where the active and sustainable mobility plan was drawn up.

initially built for 50,000 inhabitants.

However, due to a number of factors, in the 1960s Goiânia gained around 125 new neighbourhoods, all of which required more infrastructure, energy, transport and schools.

It currently has an estimated population (2021) of over one million inhabitants. This has led to a number of reflections on the city and questions about the existing urban infrastructure.
