“No one has any reason to give up on themselves,” said Nigarura. “We are ready.” Class of 2012 Business Manager Sam Mitchell conferred the Class Gift of a new lighting system for the arts department. Alex Licata and John Nichols strummed guitars and sang “To Be Determined.” Centerville High School Coordinating Principal Jon Wesney, who replaced Eileen Booher who retired in August, noted in his speech 2,300 students had enrolled in some arts, music, dance class. Wesney offered many quotes from students and teachers throughout the year. Centerville City Schools Board President Brad Evers told students “to savor the moment and be proud of yourselves.” Evers said while it’s important to have goals, it’s also important to enjoy your life, family and friends.
