FLOATING MOUNT ATTACHMENT

The quick attach connection between your loader and the CQM box blade is hinged to allow the blade to follow the contours of the surface you are clearing. This feature improves operator performance, higher banking, improves clearing performance, reduces wear and damage to the ground engaging replaceable wear parts

MAINTENANCE: The floating attachment pivot pins are greased before they leave the factory. It is highly recommended that you inject fresh grease after each use to prevent salt corrosion in the pivot. The side skid shoes are adjustable and may need to be adjusted periodically to match the wear on the scraper blade called the wear edge. It is recommended that the pivot pin retainer bolts are inspected before and after each use to ensure that they have not been sheared due to contact with obstacles encountered during use.

STORAGE: Salt residue, soil and gravel residues should be washed off before storage. Avoid parking CQM box blades on gravel or soil for extended periods of time. Ideally the box blade should have any worn parts replaced, washed and greased before storage and parked on wooden blocks between seasons of use.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1) Always make sure your hands and feet are clear of the indicated pinch points marked by the indicated labels.

2) Never stand in front of a blade that is in the process of being attached to the tractor loader

3) Never position your self under a box blade when you are replacing the wear parts

4) Never position yourself between the box blade and the power unit

5) Always make sure the box blade quick attach mount is securely attached to the loader mounting fixture.

ATTACHING THE CQM BOX BLADE TO A POWER UNIT

Your CQM box blade quick attach couplers are supplied according to the order specifications supplied by your dealer.

Attaching instructions are provided by the manufacturer of the loader or attachment device provided with the power unit.

Before operation ensure that the attachment locking devices are fully engaged in their respective connection points.

You may have a power unit equipped with a quick attach coupler that is not common in the industry and in those circumstances, we are able to manufacture a custom attachment at no additional charge however this may delay delivery.

OPERATING THE CQM F FIXED WEAR EDGE SERIES BOX BLADE

All CQM box blades are designed and built with ease of operation and durability in mind. The last thing you need is product failure during a clearing assignment.

The cutting edge and side skid shoes are manufactured using hardened steel material..

The standard floating hinge mechanism is designed to allow the blade to follow contours of the surface without constant adjustment required by the operator. This not only reduces operator stress but improves clearing performance and reduced wear on ground engaging parts. The hinged pivot also provides a minimum level of obstacle protection as the blade will tip forward and change the angle of deflection.

Before operation adjust your loader cylinder to ensure that both skid shoes contact the surface uniformly front to back.

When in contact with the surface to be cleared the pivot mechanism should be approximately in the center of the range of motion to allow for automatic contour adjustment during operation.

Avoid applying down pressure as this will increase the rate of wear and potentially result in severe damage when connecting with an obstacle.
