Welcome to a world of pure imagination. Where anything you imagine becomes a reality. Where swimming pools become oceans, living rooms become ski slopes and cheese has magical properties… sounds Brie-lliant right? But you know what they say about cheese… it can give you nightmares…
Today the talented students of CYCC Kids 5-6 share this brand-new play WHAT IF…?. This original piece has been inspired by the students’ improvisation work throughout the term. With boundless creativity, they have imagined many of the scenes you’ll see brought to life on stage. In particular, the Dear Diary section at the heart of the show – these monologues were written entirely by the students themselves, drawn straight from their imaginations and, even more importantly, from their hearts.
I’m incredibly proud of how quickly the students have learned their lines and grasped the structure of the show. Their focus, enthusiasm, and dedication have truly shone through. And, of course, it wouldn’t be CYCC Kids without a lot of jokes and joy throughout the piece! So please remember to laugh loudly and clap wildly for our wonderful students as they ask: What If…?
Enjoy the show!
