“We want a pet! We want a pet! What kind of pet should we get?”
This term CYCC Kids have been sharing their love for all creatures great and small through play and exploration set in a pet shop. Today’s sharing combines singing, dancing, and acting to bring to life the customers, employees and animals that visit, work, and live at a pet shop.
Inspired by Dr. Seuss, the students will vibrantly perform THE PET SHOP POEM which they have worked hard to learn off by heart, complete with actions and lots of expression. I am so proud of how quickly they were able to learn their lines and work as a team to help one another remember their cues during rehearsals.
PET SHOP PLAYTIME showcases each student in their comfort zones of characterisation and group work, whilst offering them the chance to be brave and have solo lines and individual moments throughout. Please join me in giving them a huge cheer at the end and thank you for your support throughout the term.
Enjoy the show!
