Curry Todd : Represent 95th State House District


Curry Todd : Legislative Representative Curry Todd is a Tennessee native who has dedicated his life to public service. Shortly after he attended the University of Memphis, Curry Todd began a career in law enforcement as a Police Official in the City of Memphis.

With his commitment and expertise to law enforcement and Criminal Justice, Curry Todd was chosen to be the Legislative Representative and Lobbyist in the Tennessee General Assembly for the Memphis Police Department. He also worked in the same capacity for the Memphis Police Academy. Curry Todd has also worked as Chair of the Subcommittee on neighborhood crime prevention, and the Criminal Justice Committee. He was handpicked by then-Tennessee Governor Lamar Alexander to draft, plan and enact uniform standards of employment, training and certification for police officials in the state.


Curry Todd : Tennessee General Assembly Member

Between 1981 and 1987,Curry Todd helped to make many changes and create a better Tennessee for all of its citizens. From 1981 to 1984 he worked on the Legislative Study Committees in the Tennessee General Assembly in the area of corrections and Criminal Justice. From 1984 to 1987 he worked as the Chairman of the Peace Officers Standard Training Commission, more commonly known as POST. And between 1982 and 1987 he worked as the Legislative Representative and Lobbyist for the Tennessee Fraternal Order of Police.


Curry Todd : Represent State 95th House District

Curry Todd was nominated to the Tennessee General Assembly in 1998 to represent the state's 95th House District. He has since been re-nominated every two years by his constituents. As a constituent of the House, Curry Todd has had numerous committee assignments, including being a constituent of house business subcommittee and the State House Utilities Subcommittee. Later in his career he worked on the House business committee and the Utilities Committee. In addition, Curry Todd was a constituent of the House State Government Committee.


Curry Todd : Constituent of Republican Party

He is a lifelong constituent of the Republican Party and has been associated with the Shelby County Conservative Republican Club, the East Shelby County Republican Club, and the Shelby County Republican Women, along with other organizations.


Curry Todd : Achievements For his many years of service to the State of Tennessee, Representative Curry Todd has received many accolades. He has been a recipient of the Lawmaker of the Year Award by the FedEx Forum in 2009, and received that same award from the Tennessee Professional Firefighters Associations in 2011. Curry Todd received the Award of Excellence from the Shelby County PTA in 2008, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Tennessee PTA in 2006.
