Like so many boys in his native Turkey, Ersal Ozdemir grew up in the port city of Mersin passionate about the sport of soccer. Surprisingly, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Construction Corporation in downtown Indianapolis is three years removed from last sinking his foot into a soccer ball.

Staying busy has that affect. Much as Ozdemir appreciates a good corner kick or header, there simply isn’t time.

“It’s all relative. I’m sure someone is busier than me,” said Ozdemir, 34, smiling, when asked about the breakneck pace that can come with his job title. “But I don’t know what I would do if I wasn’t busy. Work is part of it, but there are other things you get involved in.”

Located just a few bounce-passes north of Conseco Fieldhouse, Keystone Construction has plenty on its plate and seemingly more and more as the company gracefully grows older.

“It gets better every year. The first three years were difficult, but it’s getting better,” said Ozdemir. “As in any business you have to learn things as you go.”

Ozdemir is never above learning from not only his own trial and error, but the successes and mistakes of co-workers, friends and business associates. “The more you know, the more you want to learn,” he said.

Keystone Construction, an employee-owned company, features construction management, general contracting and design-build construction as its core services. The Indianapolis skyline Ozdemir views every work day from his spacious 10th-floor office is worlds detached from his first steps on American soil 15 years ago.

The third of four sons born to Aydin Ozdemir and his wife, Gulten, Ozdemir, all of 19 at the time, watched as his plane touched down in Oklahoma so he could live with an acquaintance until settled into a college or university.

there,” remembers Ozdemir. “But I like meeting new people, traveling and adjusting to a new place. I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t make a difference where you live. If you want to make the most of something, you make the most of something.”

Ozdemir went on to graduate from Purdue University in 1997, and almost immediately began shaping and molding the foundation of what now is Keystone Construction. In October, the Ozdemir brainstorm was recognized as one of Indiana’s fastest-growing businesses at the Indiana Entrepreneurial Leadership Awards.

Only 16 companies were selected in the growth category. A company must demonstrate a minimum 35-per-

cent increase in revenue for each of the past two years to qualify for the award. The 16 finalists averaged over 100percent growth annually over the past two years.

Two of the projects Keystone Construction will be tackling take place right in the heart of Carmel, where Ozdemir has been a resident the past 10 years.

The more-sizable of the two is the Art District Lofts & Shops. Presently under construction, when completed it will feature 350,000 square feet devoted to 150 luxury apartments, 40,000 square feet of retail space, a 20,000 square foot courtyard and 468 parking spaces (400 of which will be underground).

Another is the four-story, 60,000 square foot Old Meridian Medical Plaza in which three-quarters will be devoted to offices and the other 15,000 feet used for retail.

“Carmel is a great city to live and work in, and you want to put a quality product there,” said Ozdemir, who lives here with his wife of 1½ years, Izabela. “You bring something more than what’s there, and it’s what you can do to make a difference.”

Having your own flesh and blood on your team has also benefited Ozdemir. Younger brother, Sain, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, has been with Keystone Construction since its infancy.

“He’s probably as big of a help as anyone,” said Ersal.

“He’s been there during the good days and the tough days. I tell people he got the brains and I got the looks.”

Ozdemir is joking. Sort of. But in the case of little brother and everyone else at Keystone Construction, success comes from playing every individual to his or her strength. Again, the soccer analogy is suitable, says Ozdemir.

“In soccer, it’s the teamwork. You’re sharing. No one person can win a soccer game. It’s impossible. But soccer helps you with your leadership skills, and you learn to rely on others,” he said. “Wal-Mart has a saying, ‘People make all the difference.’ It’s true. People do make all the difference.”

It is our position that the legal drinking age in the United States should be adjusted to 18 years of age; or at the very least, the Federal Government should return the authority to the State level for a decision (mandates, hold-backs and coercive “incentives” are regularly utilized to restrict freedoms). For a variety of important reasons, the minimum legal drinking age was set at 21 in 1984, but any number of unintended consequences continues to plague the decision. According to activist group MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving), the deaths of drunk drivers between the ages of 16 and 20 have decreased, but they are still close to the

same amount of deaths by those between the ages of 35-44. The highest number of deaths is by those between the ages of 25 to 34. Likewise, binge and other forms of irresponsible drinking behavior have reached epidemic proportions.

How do we teach accountability in social behavior? And, can we teach it through attempts at absolute restriction? Young men and women assume important responsibilities including voting (in record and outcomealtering numbers this year) and military service (as a class disproportionately). We believe these same people are responsible enough to develop other appropriate adult behaviors.

I need a favor. Please, never allow Danielle (Wilson) to ever write another column explaining herself. Cut out the heading from the Aug. 26 article and have her post it on her computer. Deal with it!. If people didn’t respond to her comments, that’s when you should have her do a column on what she’s about.

Like we need a greater definition than woman! I don’t know how many ways you can assure her it’s alright. I mean, you did editorialize about your commitment to her. Maybe this will help her understand . . . She sells. She is great just the way she is. Now sirs, let me offer a more sinister, nay, diabolical reason for another “ITD” (insights to Danielle) column. I believe it to be subterfuge on

her part. She takes highlights from past columns, (God, I love that one, it is still so me!), copy and and pastes, then BOOM, hands it in as her “work”. She then steals over to Juan Valdez’s place, hooks up to the caffeine drip and tells her friends how absolutely exhausted she is in her most indignant Thurston Howell III voice inflection. Also, next time you waste the space telling one reader that your are baaaaaaack, instead perhaps offer her Deb Vlasich’s phone number for the opportunity to purchase that “Voluntary Subscription” for only . . . It’s a chilling thought that Clinton, a clone of Madeline Albright (CHANGE?), who history will judge as one of the all-time worsts, is about to become the second-most powerful person in our heavily layered and over-officious federal government. Side note: We give a slight nod to Hillary, considering her harrowing sniper-fire experience.

Shop around. Buying Christmas presents for four kids requires lots of patience and diligence if I want to find bargains. So starting in October, I periodically check Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Best Buy and Toys-R-Us for special deals and sales. I recently found an item on my list at Amazon. com for 35-percent less than the retail price.

It was a one-day-only special promotion that I happened to stumble upon. And don’t forget about Ebay and Craig’s List. You can get fantastic deals if you don’t mind putting in a little internet time.

MORE READERS’ VIEWS Citizen’s Take on the Keystone Drama Editor:

I am an ordinary Carmel citizen. I’m not privy to the history, dealings or affiliations of either the Carmel Mayor or the Council. While I do run a successful home business, it is in no way affected by the Keystone project.

I went about my life oblivious to Carmel politics until the issue of the Keystone project came up. What piqued my interest was the unfolding drama.

Unfortunately, sometimes it’s the theatrics that gets us involved. I guess it’s part of being human. It’s good to be involved no matter how we get started because local politics have the most bearing on our lives.

At the council hearing, I watched the details unfold. Now I have a newfound respect for the council. I can see it desires fiscal responsibility and wishes to be involved with the project, in a “checks and balances” way. We are blessed to have a council such as this.

It’s clear that everyone likes the Keystone project, and it addresses a real need. It will improve the city. However, a lot of the louder voices are eager to plow forward without heed to the financial realities. These voices decry all opponents as

“negative.” This may make for a nice persuasive speech, but this average citizen is not taken up by this nonsense. Opposing viewpoints and a desire for fiscal responsibility are simply not negativity.

I find it inconceivable that the project can be so far underbid. And now that my picture of the situation is clearer, I see that there’s a track record of insane underbidding, cost overages and broken promises that enters the realm of the ridiculous.

Questionable ties between the mayor and the contractors become apparent. Dire deadlines and reasons to rush forward at any cost conveniently surface to pressure us into spending money in a panicky fashion.

Spending money we don’t already have, no matter what the reason, will not benefit Carmel in the long run. You can’t run a business like that, and you shouldn’t run a city like that. The more the city starts behaving like the United States government, the worse off we’ll all be. If I were to run my business in such a manner, I’d be out of a job. Spending money in the proposed fashion has proven time and time again to end in disaster, and those who ignore the timeless principals of fiscal conserva-

tiveness are doomed to fail. We shouldn’t artificially prop up projects and spending habits that are inherently flawed. Instead, we need to use our brains and come up with solutions that work and make good sense.

Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him, saying, ‘This fellow began to build and was not able to finish.’

Am I proposing a solution? No. Remember, I am an average citizen with no training in running a city. What I do have is a knowledge of how to run a successful business in hard times. I’d like to see our council and the Mayor apply oldfashioned business principles and common sense, and provide us with a solution that works. Going into debt is not the answer, there is always another way, even though it may not be as convenient.

With the average high temperature of around 40 degrees lately, “chilling” might not be high on your priority list, but the new Dairy Queen Grill and Chill may just change your mind.

Still scheduled to open in less than two weeks on Dec. 15, the rebuilt Dairy Queen on North Range Line Road will truly be new and improved. It will be a Grill and Chill, Dairy Queen’s “flagship concept” for its restaurants. The menu will be slightly expanded, with the main difference being the addition of quesadillas.

Another change will be the way food is delivered. Owner Mina Khoury explained that instead of ordering and then standing

at the counter, customers will now “come in, place an order and the food will be delivered to the table.”

Khoury also noted that he will be adding new employees and retraining existing workers. He has advertised at both Carmel and Westfield high schools for potential employees.

“We are in the process of hiring from both Westfield and Carmel; we will be bringing in another 30 to 35 new people,” Khoury said.

Of course, you’ll still be able to order your favorite ice cream treats. And really, after relaxing in the warmth of the new dining area, even cold weather won’t stop you from ordering a Peanut Buster Parfait or Blizzard. Or both.

Buffett lightened up his ownership in a small number of public firms compared to what he held in the second quarter. Most notable was a reduction in his piece of Carmax (kmx). Teens step up their game for 2008 election

W

hen the 2008 elections arrived on Nov. 4, I was skeptical if my generation’s voice was going to be heard. Previously I was concerned about teens being well aware and prepared for the historical altering ahead. I wasn’t sure enough young people realized the impact they could make. I was worried when speaking with first-time voters who seemed to view the election as a lighthearted Maddi popularity contest Borgerais rather than the serious choosing of the next President of the United States.

For a 17-year-old like myself who missed the election by a year, I wouldn’t waste the opportunity to vote and was frustrated by those who didn’t seem to care. So, would the youth who have the right step out and speak up? I was afraid not.

Then something interesting happened.

Politically-active students formed Barack Obama and John McCain clubs, and competed for the student body’s support months before the actual election. The week of the election, their support shined.

The trail that leads from the school to the stadium was covered with McCain advertisements drawn with chalk. The history hall was decked out with ads for both candidates, and support stickers covered lockers and doors. But I still had one question - would this encouragement from the politically active affect the non-political?

Shockingly, on Nov. 4, students voiced their opinion in the halls of CHS, and they voiced their opinions loudly. Certainly this enthusiasm had to carry over to the polling sites. In our school election Sen. McCain received the popular vote, so when Sen. Obama was declared president-elect, I wondered again if would CHS students care.

The next day the halls were up in arms; everyone seemed to have something to say. Many of the anti-Obama supporters lashed out with comments like, “I am moving to Canada!” Yet many others vigorously defended Obama stating what a great change for our country he will bring.

Personally, I am relieved that the election affected the teens, and it wasn’t just another current event. Finally, I was proven wrong. The youth cares and in the end found their collective voice. My worries were over.

SANTA’S SECRET SHOP - CHS marketing education students are preparing to open two holiday shops this season.

Santa’s Secret Shop, which will be located in Room F107, is for children ages 2 to 12. All items in the store are priced at $5 or less. Gifts Unlimited will operate from Room F116 and will offer stocking stuffers and Carmel Greyhounds spirit wear. Both stores will be open Dec. 1 through Dec. 10 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

BEST OF SHOW - CHS’s newspaper, the HiLite, was named the Best of Show first place winner at the National Scholastic Press Association convention in St. Louis.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP - Sophomore Katie Osborn will represent Carmel High School at the annual Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar next June at Butler University. Since 1958, Hugh O’Brian OSBORN Youth Leadership has sponsored these seminars to seek out, recognize and develop potential in high school students. Osborn, the daughter of Steve and Beth Osborn, is a member of the high school varsity softball team and the Student Athletic Board.

UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL - Drs. Patrick and Diane Healey will discuss issues relating to aging at a University High School assembly from 9:50-10:40 am on Friday, Dec. 12. The Healeys, both geriatric/internal medicine practitioners, are parents of a current University High School student, as well as of a 2008 graduate. University is a non-sectarian private college preparatory school located at 2825 W. 116th Street, just west of Towne Road in Carmel.

A Whole ‘Nother Problem

I’ve done a bit of railing against commercials lately. Diet Dr. Pepper chose not to complete a comparison, and the iPod touch uses the word funnest. Now it’s Circuit City I need to bemoan.

Circuit City is currently running a television commercial with a woman sitting across from an anthropomorphic digital camera in a diner. She explains to the camera that she’s upset that its price changes depending on where she would choose to purchase the camera. Enter the Circuit City salesperson with the same walking camera. Circuit City, she explains, offers the same prices no matter which avenue you use to purchase.

My problem with the commercial isn’t that the cameraseeker needs to get over it and do a little comparison shopping or the weird, somewhat creepy, legged cameras that talk. My issue is that the customer in the commercial uses the phrase “a whole ‘nother.”

Nother, my friends, is not a word. The phrase “a whole ‘nother” splits the word another so that it seems as though the article a and nother are two separate words. Not so.

It’s not as though Circuit City is wholly to blame for the use of this strange phrase. I’ve heard it in use at least since I was in high school, which was, well, half my life ago. It’s only recently that I’ve begun to understand just how prevalent and wrong it is. Circuit City might be perpetuating the phrase in a very visible, national way, but they didn’t create it.

Keep in mind that substituting whatever the thing is for the word thing is the intention. In the case of the Circuit City commercial, she could just say, “a third price,” or “a whole new price,” or a variety of other, better options.

Now I’m not going to tell you that any of these companies is responsible for the downfall of correct usage of the English language – far from it. We all hear things on television that we would never repeat for a variety of reasons: they’re illogical, immoral, vulgar, incorrect or just plain stupid. I would never repeat most of the things the Michael Scott character from The Office says because they’re nearly all asinine.

What I will tell you is that recognizing incorrect usage in television, radio, print and other forms of communication is important, mainly because none of us wishes to become Scott by unintentionally saying what we do not mean or saying what we mean in a laughably incorrect manner.

That’s what she said.

Allow children to make choices. Ask them which of a pre-identified list of chores they would like to do. Or offer them choices as to studying in the kitchen or in the den.

Eliminate the word homework.

Instead use the word study. Have a study time instead of a homework time. Study

time is about studying. Even if they say they ‘don’t have homework’ they will find things they need to ‘study’.

Establish a study routine.

Children thrive on structure. By having a regular study time we are showing that we value education. Include our child in the decision of when to study.

Keep routines predictable and simple. If we want our child to be more organized, provide them the tools. Post a school days daily checklist in their room of things we want them to accomplish for themselves. Example: MORNINGS: Wake up to an alarm; Make bed; Brush teeth & hair; Get dressed; Eat breakfast; Check backpack for: study notes & lunch.

AFTER SCHOOL: Shoes away; Empty pack of study notes & lunch; Hang up backpack-coat; Have snack; Set up study time; Free time; House help (10-15 minutes).

Change ourselves if we want to our child to change. Behavioral changes can only occur when we first recognize that what we’re doing now is not working. Changing our own behavior, attitude or approach is our best chance of changing our child’s behavior. Happy Thanksgiving! Hugs!

Just the Facts, Please It can be soft and silky or deep and luscious. It can be sweet and smooth or slightly acidic. No matter the taste profile, can it really stand a chance against the one king of indulgence?

Over and over, I conduct menu tastings for large events, from corporate formals to social celebrations. No matter the demographics, it generally boils down to either an event planner’s sweet finale preference or the universally sensational cru de gras, a cocoaChef Michael based creation.

Each side having their reasons for supporting their favorites, usually picking what most cultures prefer, the safe bet that never gets a complaint, and always satiates the guests into complete contentment is chocolate.

With the holidays upon us, the sales percentages of restaurants, banquets or the sweet fillings of stockings hung on the mantle with care will lean towards chocolate. Knowing this, it is the appropriate time to educate you on the basic history of chocolate.

Merely 2,000 years old, not even the Christian celebration with the star of Bethlehem nor the Jewish Hanukkah heritage have mention of chocolate. Chocolate originated in South America with the Mayans and Aztecs, for it was there, it was born in the tropical forests cultivated by the Indians long before the arrival of the Europeans. They were the first to create a food from the cocoa beans, a drink mixed with water, chile peppers, vanilla and other spices. It was for royalty only, served to rulers, priests, and at ceremonial celebrations. It was not until the 1500’s, as the

Spaniards invaded Central America, that it was experienced by the white man, as Montezuma first served it to Cortez and the conquistadors. Finding an immediate passion for the flavor, Cortez introduced it to Spain in 1529.

By 1580 Chocolate is being consumed in all parts of Spain and had begun to overflow to other neighboring countries.

In the next 40 years the Scandinavian counties along with Italy had adopted the drink and began to experiment with other ways to utilize the basic ingredient.

As of1660 both England and France had access to the cocoa bean and began to incorporate chocolate into their cuisines.

In 1765 the first factory to produce chocolate was opened in the United States. In 1828 cocoa powder was invented followed by milk chocolate in 1875. In the early 1900’s chocolate was seriously being mass produced as a candy for sale which was expedited by rations being included in all GI’s kits to give them extra energy in World War II. To quantify it’s popularity, last year it was estimated the United States alone sold $23.5 billion worth of chocolate and chocolate products in this country alone. The following is an easy recipe for a no-bake holiday treat from one of my Sous Chefs, Amber.

This clearly occurred with SP3 to a certain degree as it became the whipping boy for anything that happened to a Windows XP system for a stretch of time (kind of like Y2K was blamed for just about every computer problem at the turn of the century).

If your computer is experiencing any kind of an issue (slow startup, sluggish performance, error messages, lockups, etc.) addressing those issues before installing SP3 is critical. In our service facilities, we will only install SP3 on systems that have been properly serviced and passed our

Quality Assurance tests.

Bottom line: SP3 is not required to be installed by Microsoft until April 2009, which is when support for Windows XP running SP2 expires, but going ahead and installing now should not be a problem.

Just make sure you have a good verified backup of your critical data or preferably an “image” copy of your entire hard drive in case you need to go back.

ervice Pack 3 (SP3) for Windows XP was initially released in April 2008 and caused a number of issues that required further development and guidance from Microsoft.

As time went on, the main thing that changed for SP3 is that manufacturers of hardware and software became much more aware of the issues and more importantly the fixes for issues that arose from SP3.

SP3 has certainly been around for Gary Hubbard long enough that Technology the major issues have all been worked out. With flour (two tablespoons per cup of liquid), the trick is to skim some of the fat off the surface of the pan drippings, put it in a separate heated pan, stir in the flour until smooth and then mix it with the rest of the liquid. Holiday Pet Safety - Human food and Christmas decorations are great for humans, but often not so good for pets.

As you celebrate the coming holidays, be mindful of knowing where Fluffy and Fido do and don’t fit into the festivities: • Don’t feed pets cooled turkey or ham drippings. They’re too rich and human seasonings aren’t good for pets.

• Ditto on the cooked turkey and ham.

Too rich for pet’s digestive systems (OK, maybe just a few bits, but not an entire meal).

• Bones are dangerous. Poultry bones splinter and are at least painful, at worst fatal.

Molting: A natural process for your bird

When was the last time you had an explosion in your bedroom and features went everywhere? Your last pillow fight?

Or was it the last time Henry molted?

Chances are your bird left the feathers behind. Molting is a natural process for all healthy birds. Reduced to its simplest terms, molting is the process of shedding old feathers and growing new ones.

In general, most species of pet birds molt two or three times a year. There are some, however, that molt year-round.

The process of molting is triggered by a number of things - a bird’s hormonal process, seasonal changes in light, available food supplies, species and the gender of species.

The molting process involves new feather shafts (pinfeathers) pushing old feathers out. When pinfeathers poke through the bird’s skin, they are coated in a wax-like

Nevertheless, sometimes a formal list is a motivator, especially when it has to do with the health of our home and landscape, which can speak volumes about who we are. Here’s a smart summary of fun things that really need to happen around your 46032/3 cocoon:

• Winterize power equipment (mower, blower, weed eater, etc.) with fuel stabilizer, etc., and get a jump on the ’09 season with sharpened blades and new plugs.

• A little leaf removal goes a long way towards healthy lawns and beds. Pick ’em up or let the mower mulch them and avoid moldy lawns and critter-invested beds.

• Plan now for 2009 remodeling and landscape projects and take advantage of relaxed schedules and recession busting opportunities.

• Clean the nasty clay off shovels, rakes, etc., and sharpen.

• Purge old insecticides, herbicides and fertilizers and take to the Carmel municipal recycle facility.

• Check doors, windows and electrical outlets for air leaks.

• How is your inventory of ice melt and snow shovels?

• Clean your gutters or install gutter guards and avoid costly basement flooding or drywall repairs from improper drainage.

• For survival, recently planted trees, shrubs and perennials demand 3-4” of mulch.

• Now is a great time to complete dormant pruning on trees and fall flowering shrubs. Cut woody spirea and potentilla all the way to the ground and prune overgrown burning bush and viburnum back substantially.

• Cut back perennials for a clean winter look, unless loaded with goodies for the birds (leave the ornamental grasses until February).

• Drain and store water hoses or buy new ones next year.

• Empty and store pots to avoid cracking and unsightly wear.

• Cease all outdoor fertilization.

• It’s not too late to plant tulips, daffodils and other spring flowering bulbs.

Sometimes “outsourcing” these pesky details to a handyman (oops . . . sorry, handyperson) makes a lot of sense and several companies are offering mower winterization services.

More substantial winterization responsibilities like furnace and auto check-ups are immeasurably critical. Now is not the time to skimp on maintenance in an effort to save a few bucks, only to be introduced to a several-thousanddollar repair later. Sorry, I don’t mean to be a fun-sucker, just offering a reality check.

ow much food are you supposed to bring to a potluck or a Thanksgiving get-together?

The calculus of this must have stumped even Albert Einstein who came from a nice Jewish family where food, of course, played a very important role.

Some biographers think the equation E = mc2 really meant the amount of food you can Eat (that would be E) is equal to the size of Dick Wolfsie the average Mouth Humor (that’s M) times the number of cousins (C) who were invited for a holiday dinner.

Then Einstein’s mother just squared everything, which has since become a holiday tradition. And is why most people gain 11 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.

Einstein has gotten a lot of credit for his theories on atomic energy, but very little recognition has been given to Mother Einstein’s classic formula for how much potato salad to lug to the family reunion picnic.

Last year we were invited to my friends Bob and Cathy Haverstick’s home. My wife insisted on bringing something so she could contribute to the sumptuous feast. “Bringing something” was always a risky thing when I grew up in New York.

Whenever my mother brought something to someone’s house, she would watch it like a hawk, concerned that her candied yams would go unacknowledged, thus requiring her to either chuck the remains at the end of the party or hide the half-filled casserole dish behind her back as she nervously slid out the door.

And there was a worse scenario. Suppose the dish was completely consumed. Not a scrap left. Wiped clean. That would have meant that my mother did not bring enough. She believed this miscalculation would stain the reputation of the entire Wolfsie clan. That’s when my mother adopted Mama Einstein’s theory of quantum food.

This made a huge impression on me as a kid. So when my wife offered to contribute her sour cream mashed potatoes to the Haverstick party, I tried to look at the decision about how much to bring in a scientific manner. Bob and Cathy were having 25 people for dinner, so we needed to make enough mashed potatoes for 50 people because if the spuds were that good, everyone was going to have seconds.

This meant that if all 25 people were bringing enough food for 50 people, there would be enough food on the Haverstick table that night to feed about 5,000 people. That would be plenty, even though Uncle Harold is a really big eater.

Dinner was quite wonderful, but getting all that food in the Haversticks’ dining room was a problem. Guests were asked

to leave their coats in the car so Bob and Cathy’s king-size bed could be used as a buffet table for the 475 fluffy dinner rolls, 28 pounds of oyster stuffing and 16 bowls of cranberry relish.

Sadly, at the end of the evening, many people felt the sting my mother used to experience when her string bean soufflé had been barely touched. As for Mary Ellen’s sour cream mashed potatoes, I

ate 12 portions. I don’t like sour cream mashed potatoes, but the idea of my lovely wife coming home on Thanksgiving night clinging to the remains of an unappreciated casserole would have been too much for either of us to bear.

I guess all I have to do now is figure out something I could do all day, every day for the rest of my life, and then do that until the guy with the scythe points his bony, beckoning finger at me.
