CELEBRATIONS & CONCERNS
LOVE OFFERING
Sunday, June 1 will be Rev. Meg Peters’ last Sunday with us before she embarks on her new adventure in England. A reception will follow after the 11 am service.
If you wouldlike to make a love offering to Meg in gratitude for her service, we encourage you to provide this gift directly to her. Gifts made payable to the church cannot be considered charitable gifts and will be taxable for Meg.
However, if you prefer, you can visit centenary-ws.org, select the Give tab, then “Love Offering - Peters” in the dropdown for Fund. An option to make a Love Offering to Rev. Glenn Kinken will be available in June.
ADULT FORMATION
EXPLORING THE MYSTERIES OF SALVATION WITH LUKE-ACTS
Sunday • May 18 • 10 am Memorial Auditorium
We are in a season when Christians reflect deeply on the central mysteries of our faith: the crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and Pentecost. How does the unique perspective of the writer of Luke-Acts shape our understanding of these events and deepen our faith? We continue our study with Dr. Christopher Franks, Owen D. and Mattie Holt McPherson Associate Professor of Religion and Department Chair at High Point University, who will offer insight into these mysteries of salvation.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
NO CHILDREN’S WORSHIP TODAY
Today, rather than leaving for children’s worship, K-3rd graders will remain in the service with their grown-ups to participate in worship and communion together. If you did not pick up a worship bag on your way in, they are available in the narthex and outside the East transept. We look forward to having your child join us for children’s worship next week!

HEALING HANDS MINISTRY
First Mondays • 10 - Noon • Gathering Room

Items are prayed over and blessed to be given away to others in time of need. No experience is necessary. Contact Rev. Oliver Helsabeck or Dianne Moore for more information.
STEPHEN MINISTRY
SEEKING CARE RECEIVERS
Stephen Ministry is a lay caring ministry. Stephen Ministers are not counselors or therapists; rather, they are caring Christian friends who can offer a listening ear to help others through the tough times in life. Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised in their ministry. If you (or someone you know) are going through a tough time and could use a caring friend, contact Rev. Oliver Helsabeck (ohelsabeck@centenary-ws. org/ ext. 1357) for a referral to our Stephen Ministry. All referrals are confidential.
