A world away from the daily routine, this historic, former royal residence has long been a distinctive choice for meetings, retreats, away-days, professional development courses and special events. Located just 27 miles from London, we are easily accessible from the M25, M4, M40 and M3 motorways. We offer ample free parking and fast train connections to London Waterloo, London Paddington and Reading.

A rare opportunity While we are unable to host the 100-strong university groups that usually fill Cumberland Lodge throughout the year, we can offer you the rare opportunity to book at short notice and enjoy exclusive use of our spacious rooms and grounds on a range of dates this autumn and winter.

During the national lockdown we took the opportunity to undertake a thorough deep-clean and refurbished many of our rooms. We are proud of our ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation from VisitBritain.

Since September 2020, we have been welcoming back the charities, universities, public bodies and corporate businesses whose bookings support our charitable work. You can be assured of the same warm welcome and impeccable service, to help you keep the conversations flowing.

We offer a range of flexible meeting spaces, indoors and out, with free WiFi and a/v connectivity across the site to ensure that everyone feels involved, whether they are on site or joining you virtually.
