A new, private club is taking shape in Los Cabos unlike anything that has come before it. At its heart is a 4-acre Endless Surf wave basin—the first of its kind in Mexico—where the rhythm of daily life is measured in a cadence of consistent rideable waves and a casually refined and welcoming spirit.

The private Cabo Real Surf Club will embrace a lost Cabo vibe, a casual flipflop refinement that is now only found on the distant East Cape or points farther afield. It is not a community define by opulence or well-appointed country club culture. Instead, it’s a place where adventure is embraced, life is leaned into fully, and kindred spirits find solace. And where families and friends come together until the lines between them blur and the activities shared and memories made are the things that best define you.

There is a vintage Skip Frye shortboard against the wall in my den. A memento of sessions past, replete with aged wax and a few memorable battle scars. It’s not stacked in the garage in the quiver because I’ve had a dream that the next feet to plant on it are those of my son. Of all the things I can pass down to him, surfing is the thing that, to me, matters most. Because the lessons the wave provides are more than just about surfing. They are about a visceral connection to nature. And about not trying to fight energy but instead to embrace it. To harness it. To become one with it.

CABO REAL SURF CLUB encompasses a spectacular site stretching from the sandy beaches of the Sea of Cortez up the rugged hillsides of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains with jawdropping panoramic views.
