The Nation's Most Expensive Private High Schools (Business Insider List) If you think college is expensive, get a load of the price tag on these private high schools!

Business Insider recently compiled a list of the nation's most expensive private schools, and needless to say, some of these institutions cost a pretty penny. The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey tops the list at $44,885 a year. To put things in perspective, that's more than tuition at Harvard.

With price tags this high, we sure hope it's worth it.

Location: Sheffield, Mass.

Tuition and fees: $42,150 Enrollment: 391 Berkshire's eight-acre solar installation accounts for 40% of the school's electricity needs, and provides an energy laboratory for students.

Aside from the gorgeous views of central Massachusetts, Lawrence Academy makes multiple stateof-the-art science and language labs available to its students.
