GRADUATION COURSE Technology Center

Mission Produce, transfer and share scientific and technological knowledge in the areas of Engineering and Architecture, interacting with the other areas of knowledge, in order to attend to the necessities of society, primarily that from the region, through teaching, research, and extension, with the objective of transforming it so that it becomes juster, more human, and more productive.

History is being renewed The trajectory of the socieconomic development in Cearรก passes through the history of the Technology Center of UFC (CT/UFC). Since the insertion of the industrialization process in Cearรก, still at the time of the School of Engineering, UFC has qualified professionals to give support to the advancements of the local productive sectors. For over 50 years, graduates from CT/UFC have shown solutions to face the challenge of making economy grow, preserving the environment and looking for life quality towards the populations.

History is being renewed The state of Cearรก has grown together with UFC and the old School of Engineering has become a modern center that, today, form about 400 professionals a year in the areas of Engineering and Architecture. Being regional and national reference in Science applied to the economic and social development, the Technology Center of UFC has a history that renews itself at every school year, at every project, at every new work developed to serve society.

Producing, transfering and spreading technology The Technology Center of UFC produces, spreads and transfers scientific and technological innovations (know-how) in the areas of Engineering and Architecture. During half of a century, the actions and works in the Technological Center have been contributing to reinforce the good profile and image of UFC, being one of the most solid and respected technical institutions in the state of Cearรก. Supported by a teaching of excellence, by researches and by extensions, the CT/UFC contributes to the improvement in life quality of the society in general, acting directly in specific segments of our state.

Target public Students from High School, as well as Engineers, Architects and other professionals from higher levels, would like to have a post-graduation course in the Technological Center. Public and private companies would want to contract specialized services in consulting and/or analysis, as well as tests from our laboratories. Government agencies in the areas of science and technology (Federal, State and Municipal governments), need specialized technology in order to support accomplishments of public projects.

Specialized knowledge The level of specialization in the Center of Technology of UFC (Federal University of Cearå) is shown in the diversity of its departments and courses. There are eight Facuties of Engineering, besides the areas of Architecture and Urban Planning. The CT/UFC provides eight courses with subsequent degrees, being eight of post-graduation (master’s and doctorate), all with good standings and rates in the Ministry of Education as well as in scholarships from organizations supporting higher education, such as CNPq, CAPES, FUNCAP, ANP, among others.
