About BS Nursing

A BSN degree prepares graduates with the education required to work as a professional registered nurse in a wide variety of healthcare settings. Graduates are prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses) following graduation to obtain licensure as an RN. Licensure is required in order to practice as an RN in all healthcare settings.

Recent CSU grad, Felicia Kjellberg ’24, is an international student from Sweden who recently passed her NCLEX-RN and will be working at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

The NCLEX-RN first-time pass rate for CSU graduates is 97% (2024).

Approximately 65 CSU students graduate with a BSN degree annually.

100% of BSN graduates who pass the NCLEX-RN on the first attempt are able to obtain a position as an RN right out of college if they so desire.
