The division of an organization responsible for finding, recruiting, screening and training job applicants as well as providing strategies to advance and improve an organization’s workforce to meet the needs of the organization itself.
CONCENTRATIONS INCLUDE: GENERAL MANAGEMENT, HUMAN RESOURCES OR HEALTH CARE WITH AN INTERNSHIP THAT APPLIES TO THEIR CONCENTRATION.
Earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Human Resources demonstrates that you have a depth and breadth of business knowledge, interpersonal skills and understand business strategy.
COURSEWORK TOPICS INCLUDE: Employee Relations / Practice Law, Training and Development Entrepreneurship / Health Care Administration / HR Management HR Information Systems International Management Labor Law Labor Relations; Organizational Behavior Personnel Compensation and Performance Staffing Strategy and Policy and more.
If you are a good listener, consistent in your communication, are able to weigh pros and cons and make decisions, have self-control in a crisis, a “people person” and enjoy problem-solving, then a major in Management can prepare you to meet challenges and leverage opportunities in today’s business environment. Management majors often have a wide variety of career options across industries.

Sarah started her academic career at Cleveland State as part of the College Credit Plus program. She is currently on her way to earning a Master of Labor Relations and Human Resources and a graduate certificate in Organizational Change. While an undergraduate student, Sarah was a Human Resources Intern at Charter Steel. She currently works at Charter Steel in the corporate office, still in Human Resources and will continue through graduation with her master’s degree.
