ABOUT THIS 2013 WEB EDITION.
In 1976, now 36 years ago, this book was published and immediately became rare. It depicts issues of tax stamps in Czechoslovakia in four periods: The First and second Czechoslovak Republic, the period of the German occupation between 1939-1945, and the communist era after 1948.
The book is of great historical importance: It illustrates the way different governments and ministries controlled the economy and transportation, their influence spanning from luxury goods to basic food production such as flour.
Had they not been published in this overview, the sheer existence of these remarkable stamps would have been unknown.
For this reason, E=mc² publishers (NYWF – Amsterdam / Haarlem, 2013) made this information available on the Web.
