embers of the Dragon Theatre Vaudeville Circus performed for an appreciative crowd in the 7 Minute Spring Gazebo on Saturday, Aug. 27. The troupe is an Imagination Celebration program and creates roles for people of all ages and abilities. The free performance was called “Patching the Circus,” and was set in 1922 as the troupe tries to rebuild after the Great War. The performers — and the audience — used their imagination to see a dragon and other magical happenings through props, miming and music. After the performance, Poetry Heals hosted writing sessions, local artist K8e Orr facilitated hands-on art projects and Wong Wares showed people how to play with clay. The Manitou Springs Community Foundation and Creative Alliance Manitou Springs funded the event.
The performers take their final bows to loud applause and cheers from the 7 Minute Spring crowd.
