1. A crossiant is observed to be hand-drawn orthographically. Drawings are purely sketched with different shadeds of pencils and pens to show lightness and depth. Shading and hatching are used in terms of technique. 3. This illustration is inspired by Mario’s World but not directly linking to the elements of it. Projection is first drawn by hand. It is then imported to ‘illustator’ where colours and textures are added to make it represents the look of both Mario World and the real world. 5. A digital model terrain with five modules is built by the use of ‘Extrude to curve’ in ‘Rhino‘. One 2D flat and four 3D modules are created with three attractor points in order to have varying heights. Then, the modules are unrolled into templates to build a physical model with ivory cards that forms a final A1 surface. 6. The digital model is first built in ‘Rhino’. It’s isometric drawing is imported to ‘Illustrator‘ to adjust line weights and to add annotations. Perspective 2 is first captured in Rhino as a 2D frame, then imported to illustrator for line adjustment. The design of perspective 1 is carried out in ‘Photoshop’ adding textures, characters, objects.
