“You can laugh all you want, 2020, because you didn’t win. God won. And through Him we won, too. We made it... and our stories are just beginning.”

HS Principal Mason Young

Shad Stockton, father of senior Caleb Stockton

“My father was the first HS principal and Bible teacher when CSCS started. I pray your lights would illuminate this world for the cause of Christ.”

While 2020 was defining the word cancel, CSCS was emphasizing the word connection.

With God’s protection and provision, the CSCS family praised Him for a full year of in-person schooling, while most other schools in Colorado Springs held classes remotely the majority of the year. But the CSCS difference goes beyond teaching students inside a building. The environment of love, respect, and hope resonates through these halls. Last December, before enjoying their class Christmas parties, the elementary students remembered their fellow high school students by praying for them to do well on their semester final exams. It was the laying of little hands upon senior lockers twice their height, and tiny sticky notes of encouragement—in their best penmanship—that made the difference. By May, the seniors walked the halls in their caps and gowns, stopping to give out high-fives to their little admirers and return the uplift. It was another example of the important and tangible K–12 connection felt at CSCS. “It is so precious to watch as my second graders walk past the upperclassmen in the hallways and get noticed

“It has truly been a privilege to minister alongside you and to have been part of each of your lives. I pray God’s blessings on you...”

with a big smile or a ‘Great job!’” said Ms. Harrison, who has taught at CSCS for 13 years. Parents of CSCS students can feel the difference, too. “In a world filled with secular indoctrination and teaching, CSCS is set apart with Jesus at the very center,” said J.R. and Becca Gonzales, who have two elementary students. “There is no better educational opportunity fit for our children that will equip them with a biblical worldview. We are beyond thankful for CSCS!” Because of God’s faithfulness, the CSCS community spurred one another on toward love and good deeds and did not give up meeting together. It was the year of connection. It is the CSCS difference.
