On behalf of the Eugene J. McCarthy Center for Public Policy and Civic Engagement, we are happy to present to you the Spring 2021 issue of McCarthy Magazine. The McCarthy Magazine is a collaborative project with McCarthy Center students, staff, and faculty and is published each semester as a review and reflection of our events and programming.
This Spring has become a hybrid of virtual and in-person programming, allowing us to feel a new sense of normality within the McCarthy Center. This issue highlights the ways in which we have been able to safely host small in-person events such as our first Ted Talk Tuesday of the year and our Earth Week event with Krewe Restaurant. It also explores our virtual presence such as the The Mark Kennedy Frontiers of Freedom Series with former president of the World Bank, Bob Zoellick, and our new social media initiatives.
