With a robust online course library and a variety of virtual workshops, Drexel employees can find the learning opportunities that are right for them.

Individual contributors can find courses related to their roles, levels of experience, or topics of interest. For example, the New Dragon Professional certificate series offers courses to support those who are newer to the professional workspace in sharpening their communication skills, plan for their career growth, engage in inclusive and welcoming citizenship behaviors, and practice self-care. A series of Administrative Professionals certificates offers courses on topics that support those in administrative professional roles, including project management, networking, and prioritization.

Managers can access several certificate programs and many individual courses to add to their managerial toolboxes, including Drexel Leaders: The Art of Management, which focuses on topics essential to success as a manager, from better understanding oneself as a professional to effectively leading a team. Managers who participate in this program will delve into strategies for leadership within your organization, learn how to drive productivity and develop the skills necessary to be an inclusive leader.

More seasoned leaders might apply for Drexel Leaders: Advancing Dragon Leadership, a cohort-based annual offering that uses a competitive application process to choose up to 20 participants per year. This program focuses on productive and inclusive leadership practices and encourages participants to build strong relationships within their cohorts and with program alumni.

Vision, Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Benefits Program: Salus at Drexel University offers the following clinic services, Vision, Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, to eligible employees which include consultations, examinations and discounts on lenses and other hardware. All active University benefits-eligible full and part-time faculty, professional staff, and their immediate family members, Stationary Engineers, Salus Union staff members are eligible to participate in the program.

Our award-winning Wellness Program allows you to earn rewards: You can earn $400 per year and eligible spouses/domestic partners up to $250 per year. Biometric screenings and a variety of workshops/ mind and body classes are offered throughout the year.

You’ll have access to valuable resources to help you navigate your benefits or life’s challenges including Health Advocacy services and best-in-class Employee Assistance and Work Life Benefit programs.

We’re committed to providing family building benefits which include fertility and adoption assistance. Drexel will reimburse eligible adoption expenses of up to $5,000 (per child) with a maximum lifetime limit of $10,000. The Program also offers you unlimited access to a dedicated Patient Care Advocate for emotional support to those in need through Progyny.

WE’RE KEEPING MORE MONEY IN YOUR POCKETS THROUGH FINANCIAL WELLNESS BENEFITS

Student Loan Forgiveness gives qualifying employees the opportunity to have a portion of their direct student loan debt forgiven through the U.S. Department of Education's Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, meeting certain stipulations.

Home Ownership Financial Assistance: Forgivable loans are available through Drexel and Phila grants for up to $26,500 to use for home improvements for those who purchase and reside within a Drexel defined geographical area.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA): If enrolled in the Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) with HSA, Drexel generously contributes $500 for single and $1,000 for family per year—and you can contribute toward the HSA too on a pre-tax basis!

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible health, commuter, and dependent care expenses.

Employee-paid Life, AD&D and Long-Term Disability Benefits provide income protection to you and those who depend on you.

Extensive Voluntary Benefits which allow you to supplement traditional insurance plans to further protect your income.

WE OFFER SAVINGS OPTIONS FOR YOUR FUTURE

Employees can contribute up to 75% of their pay up to the IRS annual contribution limits to a 403(b)-retirement plan. For 2025, the maximum annual contribution is $23,500 including pre-tax and post-tax (Roth) contributions combined.

If you are age 50 or above, an additional elective salary deferral known as a catch-up contribution is permitted as follows: Age 50-59: $7,500; Age 60 -63: $11,250 for 2025.

In addition, a 457(b)-tax deferred savings plan is offered to those with salaries of $150,000 and over. Eligible employees can contribute an additional $23,500 in addition to 403(b) retirement savings for 2025.
