CALIFORNIA SCHOOL OF THE ARTS – SAN GABRIEL VALLEY FOUNDATION

WELCOMES YOU TO

SATURDAY, MARCH 9

SHERATON LOS ANGELES SAN GABRIEL

Welcome to the CSArts-SGV Foundation’s eagerly anticipated fundraising event, Gala 2024: Hollywood Nights! Prepare to be immersed in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles as you enjoy this electric, musical celebration, featuring show-stopping performances by our talented CSArts-SGV students.

WELCOME TO GALA!

Welcome Friends!

Thank you for joining us at Gala 2024: Hollywood Nights, presented by the California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) Foundation. In just a few minutes, our dazzling student artists will take you on a one-of-a-kind, musical tour of Hollywood. Prepare to be starstruck by their vibrant dance numbers, stunning vocal performances, and invigorating live music.

Each year, the nearly 1,100 students who walk the halls of CSArts-SGV inspire us with their commitment to their crafts and the remarkable creativity they display. Tonight, we would like to thank all of you for your unwavering dedication to fostering both the academic and artistic ambitions of each and every student. None of this would be possible without the CSArts-SGV community’s devotion to making our young visionaries’ dreams a reality.

We must take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to our Honorary Producers, The Slessor Family, for their continued investment in our school. Additionally, this spectacular, neon-lit event would be nothing without our Season and Event Sponsors, Edison International, Ford Printing & Mailing, and Max H. Gluck Foundation. We would like to recognize the esteemed members of our Board of Trustees, Foundation Board of Directors, President’s Circle, and Encore, whose dedication and generous support of our school is essential to its ongoing success. We would also like to express our appreciation to the Duarte Unified School District (DUSD), the DUSD Board of Education, the City of Duarte Council Members, and our elected officials throughout the San Gabriel Valley, whose partnership is vital to the mission of CSArts-SGV.

Lastly, we are so appreciative of all those who have helped create an award-worthy evening for us to enjoy tonight, including our Gala Auction & Event Committee, auction donors, table sponsors, individual ticket attendees, and performance underwriters. It is because of people like you that thousands of young artists have been given the essential tools and encouragement needed to thrive. We cannot thank you enough.

Now, we invite you to take in the glitz and glam of Los Angeles through a variety of pop, rock, and Hollywood-inspired performances. Our incredible students and staff have been working tirelessly to bring you this breathtaking production. Please enjoy!

FEATURING SPECIAL GUEST ARTISTS SAM MORELOS TEX HAMMOND

Tex Hammond’s (VA, ‘24) art serves as a window into the mind of a young talent maturing in a chaotic world. Drawing inspirations from graffiti, video games, and music and using abstract techniques and unconventional surfaces, he has taken definitive steps towards modernizing classic genres. Tex has held three solo shows in Los Angeles and is the youngest exhibitor at the LA Art Show. His work has been featured in HBO’s The Hype and the Los Angeles Times.

2. Payments must be paid via credit card. All sales are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash, unless otherwise specified.

3. The CSArts-SGV Foundation makes no warranties or representations of any kind with respect to any items or services sold. All auction items are sold “AS IS.” Buyer assumes full risk for any items purchased.

4. The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. An item has not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate could be tax deductible as a charitable contribution.

All gifts are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated.

Please consult a tax advisor to clarify the amount of deduction. If an item is not fulfilled as promised, the purchaser may request an adjusted receipt to correct the fair market value.

5. Items will be available for pick-up at CSArts-SGV. An email will be sent providing the details to the winners once the auction has closed. If items need to be shipped, shipping costs may be incurred by the winners of the items.

6. The CSArts-SGV Foundation reserves the right to add or delete any item from the auction list at any time.

7. Donations of cash are 100% tax deductible.
