In 2000, along with product developer Art Ostman, we saw the need for a simple and effective way to maintain proper skirting to belt adjustment.

In material handling and Our design philosophy

As EZ-SKIRT hit the market, we realized maintenance personnel needed an easier way to maintain wear liners, as they were often out of sight, out of mind and a job no one looked forward to doing. Our answer was EZ-ACCESS–a safe, simple and cost effective way to maintain wear liners. By designing a system in which wear liners can be adjusted and changed from the outside of the chute, we have eliminated confined space entry.

Incorporation of our LINER-LOCK patented fasteners also allows for secure liner attachment with precise adjustments of the wear liner from the outside of the chutes.

In keeping with our “EZ” philosophy, SPEEDMOUNT primary and secondary belt cleaning systems utilize T-lugs for a simple, cost effective way to maintain and change belt cleaners. With a standardized mount-ing system, blades can be purchased in long lengths and cut to fit, eliminating the need to stock multiple sizes.

EZ-SKIRT ® PATENTED CONVEYOR SKIRTING SYSTEM

• SIMPLE TWO-PART SYSTEM Mount the 5-foot stainless steel hangers to the chutewall, insert the skirting “T” lugs into the serrated channels, and adjust the skirting to the belt. The skirting holds securely and adjusts in seconds by pushing down or tapping with a mallet. No nuts, bolts, clamps or fasteners to worry about.

Quick, easy peel-away removal for maintenance. Sealing strips come in 5-foot lengths with overlapping joints for a tight seal.

• EASY INSTALLATION The EZ-SKIRT® Skirting System can easily be retrofit to your existing chutewalls. The skirting is available in many sizes, thicknesses and compounds. Hangers are available in 45, 60, 70, 80 and 90 degree angles for a custom fit to any trough angle.

Our stainless steel hangers feature laser cut, serrated channels every four inches to hold the skirting securely and allow for precise skirting adjustments, yet still allow for easy peel-away removal.

Stainless steel hangers are 5 feet in length and are available in 90, 80, 70, 60, and 45 degree angles.

General Guidelines EZ-SKIRT®

The EZ-SKIRT sealing system can be set up in a broad variety of configurations. It comes in ½”, ¾”, and 1" thicknesses and face heights from 6-9" and the hangers come in 2” and 4” face height with 45, 60, 70, 80 and 90 degree angles available. The main variables to consider are height of skirtboard above belt, type of material conveyed, and trough angle of idlers. In general, large lump sizes require heavier skirting (3/4” or 1”) generally in 60 durometer and fine or dusty type materials may need a skirt that will “lay” on or conform to the belt, so ½" or ¾" works well. Softer 40 durometer rubber in ¾" works well for fine materials also. Here are some general recommendations.

4" hangers are always recommended unless there is not room for installation. 2" hangers are used for tight areas. These are general guidelines. Contact your sales representative for questions or specific recommendations. *Properly installed wear liners and belt support are needed for optimum performance with heavily loaded belts and severe-duty load zone applications. **B designates Beveled Skirting which is used for Heavy Duty applications, problem areas, high speed belts etc. ***By using a 5-SS-4-60 hanger for the Fine Materials with a 35 deg. trough conveyor instead of a 5-SS-4-70 hanger, the skirt comes in at less of an angle so it can “lay” on the belt and flex a little.

By using a 8" or 9" skirt, the skirt can also be tucked under the skirtboard if needed.

• EASY INSTALLATION Installation is simple, Cut the EZ-SKIRT Stainless Steel Hanger to length, then cut the EZ-TAILSKIRT to length and install just as you would as the EZ-SKIRT Skirting system. Tap down the skirting with a rubber mallet to the proper position.

Made from durable, long lasting 40 and 60 durometer rubber, EZ-TAIL SKIRT® is press molded individually and hand trimmed to exact specifications. Soon after, a quality control expert inspects each piece for any flaws or abnormalities.

EZ-SKIRT Conveyor Stainless Steel Hangers come in five (5) foot lengths, which are easier to install and maintain. The serrated channels, which are cut every 4 inches keeps the rubber skirting from creeping up, and also allows the skirting to be properly positioned for any portions of your conveyor that maybe uneven, to prevent spillage. Using 409 gage Stainless Steel, Hangers are built to last ! Each one is laser precision cut to exact specifications and throughly inspected for quality control. You can rest assure that this will be the last hanger system you will ever need to replace.

SPEEDMOUNT VP-2

Rear mount self-adjusting-plow floats on the inside surface of the conveyor belt to remove stray material and protect the tail pulley and belt from damage. Rear mounted pipe rides in the channels attached to the conveyor structure to self-adjust.

Blades attach w/o fasteners and can be flipped for double wear life.

V-Plow uses a swing arm suspension to mount the plow to the conveyor structure allowing the plow to adjust to fluctuations in the belt line and keep stray material out. VP-2 blades are attached w/o fasteners and are reversible for double wear life. Additionally the VP-2 can be tensioned with the purchase of dual tensioning system.
