CRU Prayer Diary: Nov 2024 - Mar 2025

DIARY prayer O

Our prayers are very precious to God!

He puts them in “golden bowls full of incense” as His people fall down in worship before the Lamb (Revelation 5:8).

God always longs for us to come to Him with our joys, sorrows, burdens and whatever else is on our hearts. Jesus urges us to always pray and never give up (Luke 18:1) and God promises that He hears our prayers (1 John 5:14).

We hope that you find this Prayer Diary helpful as you pray for the ministry of CRU and the youth we seek to reach with the gospel over the next few months.

CRU’S VISION

To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the students of the independent schools of Australia, to nurture Christians, encourage church membership and train young Christians for a life of servant leadership.

NOVEMBER

Week starting Sunday 3 November

Thank God for the lawyers involved in our upcoming Wills Days who are generously giving up their time to assist people in writing or revising their Wills for free. Ask that those attending these appointments would find them beneficial and would prayerfully consider leaving a gift in their Will to CRU, so that thousands of young people can hear about Jesus in the future. Pray also for the CRU Ball (run by CRU Holiday Camps) that it would be a great opportunity to celebrate and thank our volunteer leaders for the time and effort they put into running and leading camps.

Week starting Sunday 10 November

Praise God for the opportunity to share the gospel with young people on Holiday Camps. Thank Him for the upcoming summer season and for the CRU Camps team who do so much behind the scenes for each camp. Pray that God would sustain the team over the coming months as they prepare everything for our longest camp season. Pray also for this week’s Bronze Medallion training for volunteer leaders, that it would be an effective time of learning appropriate skills which leaders can apply on their next camp.

Week starting Sunday 17 November

Please pray for CRU’s current and future staffing needs, that God would be raising up faithful and gifted Christians, who have a heart for kids, to join our team. Pray particularly for our Schools Ministry team and our teams at CRU Galston and CRU Lake Mac, where there are key positions vacant. Ask that these roles would be filled soon. Pray also that these teams would be relying on God’s wisdom, strength and guidance as they wait and work expectantly with His timing in mind.

Week starting Sunday 24 November

Thank God for the Monthly Management and Summit/CRU Training (RTO) Committee meetings that ran last week and for the individuals who are involved in these committees and make decisions. Please pray for the Finance, Properties and CRU West committees that are meeting this week, that God would be guiding conversations and that the committee members would be making wise and godly decisions to ensure CRU’s work can continue effectively and efficiently.

Week starting Sunday 22 December

Praise God for the birth of His Son Jesus! As we reflect on the good news of our Saviour’s birth this Christmas season, pray for opportunities to boldly share our joy and hope with those around us. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
