My all time fantasy career was to become a quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. Once that dream was cut short from not getting the response back from -tryouts and competition over the years. Sweetwater Biography There's no denying raw and impeccable talent when you hear it. Especially, if it's the product of an 80's baby coming out of the gritty city of Flint, Michigan. Sweetwater a.k.a Sunnysmilez represents what most are not able to achieve. Despite her upbringing, listening to music always brought her joy. Which soon led to her love for singing. Growing up in a family of six she often practiced her singing skills as a group with her sisters. Doing their own renditions of songs by Mary J. Blige, SWV and TLC. Inspiration to make music even came during those moments riding around in her mom's station wagon listening to melodies by Curtis Mayfield, Bootsy Collins, MC Breed, Al Green and Rick James. In those days the list was endless. Her passion for music continued throughout her childhood. Going to a studio at the age of 11 with her uncle who was a producer and soon discovering her "voice", her success in the music business began to take flight. "Music is my passion, it's what I live and breathe for. It's guaranteed to be my present, past and future".-Sweetwater In 2011 Sweetwater released her first mixtape entitled "Not Your Average Chick" hosted by DJ Lil' Steve. It was new and exciting especially for the female hip hop industry. She went on to perform her hit "20 10’s" in Detroit, as an opening act for Nipsey Hussle in April 2012. In August 2012 she continued to showcase the success of the mixtape by performing as opener for Twista. That included the performances of "Ride In My Rental, Perfect Hot Sex and Sex Money Music". Sweetwater was later featured on the Coast 2 Coast Mixtape "She Got Next" in November 2012 hosted by Trina and Shauna. Which later led to another performance in Detroit opening for N.O.R.E. in late August of 2013. 2014 was no different. With steady performances in Detroit at the Bullfrog and other venues throughout the city. In 2015, under We Built This Entertainment management an official tour leg will be announced as she gears up for a new mixtape release. The first stop is Atlanta July 16, 2015 at the Vinyl at Center Stage. Fans will continue to enjoy each and every ounce of Sweetwater-music. With upcoming singles featuring production by billboard record producer K.E. on The Track on “Bitter and Sweet” and Jus G on “Sex, Money Music” she has an arsenal of heat sure to stir things up. Sweetwater has reinvented female Hip Hop and R&B time and time again. Bringing back originality, that 90's feel with a new age twist.
