According to Bob Hanelt, SAF CCA Historian: Brigadoon, originally launched in 1924 as Joann, is L. Francis Herreshoff’s first design, built by the Britt Brothers in Lynn, MA. Sterling Hayden, after WWII, found the boat in Maine and renamed her Brigadoon of Boothbay.
