A “Warmth Journey” In Jiangsu Sheraton

T

he “warmth journey” was held for media in the East China region and was held jointly by Sheraton Wuxi Binhu Hotel, Zhenjiang Wanda Sheraton, and Sheraton Changzhou Xinbei Hotel. The trip was organized to increase the understanding of the famous hotel brand, Sheraton, in the districts of East China and Jiangsu and to extend the Sheraton’s culture of “warmth and sincerity”. The journey started in Wuxi, the water city of south Jiangsu. Against the charming Huishan Mountain, Sheraton Wuxi Binhu Hotel was designed with a plum blossom theme, the city flower of Wuxi. Hotel General Manager Mr. Philip Kang warmly welcomed guests upon their arrival. The trip included a visit to Wuxi’s Lingshan Grand Buddha, situated by the beautiful Taihu Lake with a view of Lingshan Mountain. Incense was burnt piously before the Buddha to pray for protection. With a height of 88 meters, the Lingshan Grand Buddha is the highest outdoor bronze status of Shakyamuni in the world. The second stage of the journey was Zhenjiang, the “first landscape” of the world. First up was a visit to charming Jinshan Mountain, which is also called “Myth Mountain” because each site possesses a myth, legend or story. On

arrival at Zhenjiang Wanda Sheraton, General Manager Mr. Joey Wu and his management team received their guests. The huge golden mural painting “Overview of the Landscape” behind the reception desk made a lasting impression. Huaiyang cuisine is the main staple of Zhenjiang with the most impressive dish being “Catfish Lion Head”. The Lion Head balls at the hotel’s Chinese specialty restaurant, Yue, are savory but not greasy and are a must try. The final destination was the city of vitality in Jiangsu, Changzhou. Upon leaving the Shanghai-Nanjing highspeed railway, it was only a ten minute drive to Sheraton Changzhou Xinbei Hotel, next to Changzhou Wanda Plaza. It is also conveniently located close to Tianning Temple. The visit in Changzhou once again started with an enthusiastic welcome from the General Manager of the hotel Mr. Alex Han and his management group. Guests

tasted authentic Kwantung cuisine, made by the Japanese cuisine master from Tokyo, Japan and the creative flavors of Huanyang cuisine in the Hotel’s Chinese restaurant, Yue. The pleasant experience in Changzhou made a perfect ending to this “warmth journey” in Jiangsu’s three Sheraton hotels.
