SUCCESSSTORIES

In 2023, Alfonso graduated from DSST Cedar High School, formerly Byers High School. Through our strategic partnership he was connected to CrossPurpose. He is now a Lift Technician at Upward Mobility making $20/hour!

“CrossPurpose demanded sweat, determination, and an embrace of the unknown. It was about adopting a mindset that declared “I can handle this”, motivated by a desire to support my mom without replicating my dad's path. I aim to break the cycle ensuring the next generation thrives with knowledge and resilience. Now, working as a lift technician at Lifeway Mobility, I am the testament of transformation undergone at CrossPurpose.”

ALFONSO DAMIAN

While in high school, Damien also worked multiple jobs to help his family. After recovering his graduation credits, Damien graduated from Empower Community School in 2023. He had a passion for the trades and saw an opportunity to provide for his family through the career development that CrossPurpose provided. He is now a Field Construction Technician for Pure Cycle Construction making $21/hour!

As a young, single mom Daisy found support through our strategic partners at Hope House. They provided the training, supportive services, and childcare she needed to make her experience with us possible. After receiving her credentials through CrossPurpose, Daisy now works as a Personal Care Provider for Human Touch Home Care making $23/hour!
