When Crossover Bible Church started Crossover Community Impact in 2011, our efforts to “restore our community” began. This vision will be fulfilled when north Tulsa is full of healthy individuals, faithful families, peaceful neighborhoods, and thriving institutions.

Economic Development

Crossover Community Impact (CCI) applies a comprehensive approach to a targeted geographic area. In order to make a tangible difference in north Tulsa, CCI is committed to making an IMPACT in Education, Housing, Economic Development, and Healthcare while building on Youth Sports to develop relationships within the community. As gains are made, our hope is that there will be a ripple effect into more north Tulsa neighborhoods until the entire community is restored.

Crossover Sports Association (CSA)

Starting with a strength of the community, CCI began the Crossover Sports Association Youth Sports Organization. CSA is a championship caliber youth sports athletic development program that includes football, cheer, basketball, baseball, and track. Each of these sports has won championships, but more importantly Crossover has been able to leverage extra-curricular activities creating opportunities for excellence on the field, in the classroom, and in life. CSA truly develops “student-athletes.�

Crossover’s IMPACT Kids Program Over the past 6 years, Hawthorne Elementary School has been getting attention as a school making great strides in education in north Tulsa.

During that time, Crossover has gladly partnered with Hawthorne in its pursuit of excellence! As a result, we were the “2016 Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Partners in Education Champions Award” Recipient for our STEM-based After-school and Summer Enrichment Program. The kids in our community deserve a great education which prepares them for academic success in the future and positive non-academic outcomes.

Responding to the need of youth employment opportunities, we built upon the success of a similar program in Camden, New Jersey. Our StreetLeader Program began in 2013.

It is a Youth Jobs Program hiring north Tulsa high school students to tutor and mentor kids in the IMPACT Kids Program. This unique program combats the high unemployment rate of minority youth, with hopes of preparing them for jobs and leadership in the community. 100% of our StreetLeaders have graduated from high schools which have a 46% and 75% graduation rate.

Crossover Health Services (CHS)

When Crossover Health Services opened in 2014, there was a 10-year life expectancy disparity for residents of north Tulsa when compared to their mid-town and South Tulsa peers. Simply as the result of living in the 74106 zip code, residents were expected to have a shorter life span. Crossover Health Services is eradicating that and other healthcare disparities. In five years, it has become a selfsustaining full family medical practice with 3 physicians, over 4400 patients, and was the “2018 Hospitality House Large Healthcare Award Winner.�

Crossover Development Company (CDC) Since 2015, Crossover Development Company has revitalized housing in the Hawthorne Neighborhood by purchasing and remodeling vacant houses as well as building new homes. CDC utilizes housing projects to create construction jobs in our community. The problems of overall lower employment rates and lack of jobs in north Tulsa are compounded with even fewer opportunities for individuals with felonies. Moreover, lower educational attainment in north Tulsa makes construction job opportunities more important. Through the rehabilitative work of Crossover Development Company, Crossover’s vision of north Tulsa being a community of peaceful neighborhoods will be fulfilled.

Crossover Preparatory Academy (CPA)

Crossover Prep is an all boy, tuition free, 6th-12th grade private school that started with 27, 7th graders in 2017. 2018 saw enrollment double, and in its second year, CPA was the City Champions in Football and the recipients of the “Choice Matters Private School of the Year Award.” By providing a rigorous college-prep curriculum and by imitating the leadership model of St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, NJ, CPA hopes to replicate that school’s 98% college acceptance and 87% college completion rates.

Crossover Community Center

Our hope is to bring all of the elements of this comprehensive approach to one central location. It will create synergy, where the whole community development IMPACT will be greater than the sum of its parts, while simultaneously offering needed amenities to north Tulsa in order to restore our community.

The Crossover Community Center will enhance health improvements, educational activities, and community revitalization all building on Crossover’s community development successes!
