PRECISION SPRAYING

When it comes to weed management, WEED-IT is light-years ahead.
In 2025 we are pleased to introduce two new sprayers to our WEED-IT line up. Croplands has combined our robust Pegasus 7000 Broadacre sprayer with a totally new 36m boom with integrated WEED-IT technology. Retaining the successful twin tank, twin line design found on our 7000 ground glider sprayers the new WEED-IT Pegasus 7000’s suspended truss boom fitted with boom leveller maintains WEED-IT’s unrivalled accuracy on a compact and user-friendly sprayer platform. Croplands also launched the Robot Ready Pinto, a 3000L trailed sprayer fitted with WEED-IT technology and a gooseneck arm, it is fully integrated with SwarmFarm Robotics’ lightweight autonomous SwarmBot.
Designed with the challenges that growers face in mind, WEED-IT, from Croplands, provides you with greater accuracy, control and maximised efficiency. That’s why it’s the best-selling optical spot spraying system in the world. Croplands does not charge a subscription model to access this technology.
Using advanced sensors, WEED-IT detects chlorophyll in the leaves of actively growing weeds in fallow fields, identifying and targeting them with unrivalled accuracy. This saves you water and time, preserves precious soil moisture and minimises the weed seed bank. It also drastically reduces herbicide use, which maximises your return on investment.
Get outstanding results, even on hard-to-kill weeds, with WEED-IT – the world’s number-one optical sprayer.
When you invest in a WEED-IT from Croplands you are also investing in proven spot spraying expertise, unparalleled service standards and ongoing technical support.

Engineered for efficiency, this optical spot spraying system’s nozzle activation, spacing and weed detection capabilities ensure speed and accuracy unlike anything else.
WEED-IT’s near-infrared technology detects chlorophyll in the leaves of actively growing weeds in fallow fields, identifying and targeting them with unrivalled accuracy. This advanced mode of detection enables faster travel speeds and targets even the smallest of weeds. Plus, its 50Hz 6-volt PWM-capable solenoids ensure exceptionally fast and accurate nozzle activation.
WEED-IT uses a fraction of the herbicide normally used when blanket spraying. Because of this, you have the opportunity to include chemicals normally considered too expensive for blanket application and develop a long-term herbicide resistance management strategy. This means it’s economical to employ a ‘go hard and go early’ approach to weed management, targeting young weeds and driving down the overall weed seed bank.
WEED-IT automatically calibrates 40,000 times per second, compensating for factors such as soil type, dust, daylight conditions and the presence of stubble. Unlike some of its competitors it also performs just as well at night, giving you a wider window for application.
Weeds are targeted accurately around tight corners, regardless of boom tip speed. This is because each sensor is fitted with a three-axis accelerometer for integrated speed correction.
WEED-IT’s clever 48-volt system draws far less current. This means that unlike other weed detection equipment, there’s little strain on your tractor’s electrical system. This provides faster solenoid activation and enables superior results at higher travel speeds.
Sensors distributed for precision
WEED-IT’s sensors are spaced one metre apart. Fewer sensors mean less structural stress on the boom and improved travel speeds. A single sensor controls four nozzles at 25cm spacings, providing superior coverage than systems with wider nozzle spacing.
Nozzle selection
The standard 40-degree flat-even fan nozzles deliver a coarse droplet spectrum and provide great coverage for most environments.
Low drift air inducted versions of this nozzle are also available for sensitive operations where drift reduction is paramount.
Full-cone nozzles can be used for larger vertical targets where non-systemic (contact) chemicals are strategically employed. The full-cone nozzle gives you the advantage of spraying forwards and rearwards at an angle, enhancing penetration and giving exceptional coverage.
Row crop spraying
WEED-IT sensor spacing can be adapted to 40” to meet the needs of row cropping or to match tillage equipment based on imperial measurements.
monitor and controller
The easy-to-use display provides constant monitoring of solenoid and sensor operation. It reports any malfunctions or errors on-screen, including warnings for low pressure, sensor faults and voltage.
The smart design enables easy fault identification, resulting in increased productivity as you don’t need to check or monitor the machine as often.
You can also adjust the sensitivity from the menu, while the controller monitors increased boom speeds on corners and automatically adjusts response times to ensure the nozzle always hit its targets. The monitor also keeps a record of nozzle activation and sensor history.
compatible
ISOBUS option available across all models, providing section control and mapping capabilities.

Boom height control
This is a standard feature of the 36m WEED-IT ready boom and allows the boom to shadow the ground – even in rough or hilly terrain to maintain an optimum boom height, reduce drift and improve stability.
Croplands’ unique boom is designed to deliver the ultimate results in weed detection and eradication.
Croplands’ heavy-duty, hydraulic-fold 24 and 36-metre contourfollowing booms are designed to take on Australia’s challenging broadacre farming conditions.
Designed to maintain even height above the ground to optimise weed detection, Croplands’ contour-following booms can operate at five different planes to mirror the contours as accurately as possible. This means that, with only small variations in height, the sensors will target small grasses effectively as the boom height is maintained.
WEED-IT’s boom wheels are custom engineered with air-ride suspension. This helps to maximise sensor effectiveness by controlling compression and rebound, ensuring that sensors maintain an unparalleled level of detection.
The hydraulically steered inner-boom wheels control the folding and unfolding of the boom, which is also a pivot point for the boom to contour follow.
The boom can be folded and unfolded hydraulically via controls in the cab, so transitioning from transport position to field operation is always quick and effortless.

Get your WEED-IT sprayer out for post emergence precision spraying with the new Spot-In-Crop (SIC) spray mode.
SIC is best used during the early stages of emergence, on weeds of any height in between rows and weeds that are taller than the surrounding crop within a row.
We use a simple yet clever law of nature to detect weeds which we call the Power of Fluorescence. By detecting the amount of chlorophyll, WEED-IT can distinguish the individual bigger unwanted plants. It then only activates the spray nozzles located directly above those weeds.
Post emergence Spot-in-Crop benefits
• Ultra small footprint
• Works 24/7, without alternative light sources
• Always on target, accurate and precise; due to 14,000 reads per second
• Also at speeds up to 25 km/h
• Easy to use; just plug and play; self calibrating system
• Hardly affected by external influences like dust, soil type and moving crops
• Includes turn compensation for spraying curves, turns and corners as standard
• No unforeseen expenses; doesn’t need (re)training and no pay-per-use
• Can be used in any row crop straight out of the box
Nozzles & Solenoids
Coupled to the superior mode of detection of the WEED-IT is a liquid delivery system that gives excellent coverage and maximum dose every time. Unlike other optical spot sprayers where a detection system has been mounted to a standard broadcast boom with standard broadcast nozzles the WEED-IT uses truly unique 50Hz solenoids and narrow banding nozzles to form a system where weeds are detected and sprayed with true precision.
Solenoids
50Hz 6-volt PWM capable solenoids ensure exceptionally fast and accurate nozzle activation and attach to a standard nozzle body non drip valve for ease of fitment.
Nozzles
A wide angled elliptical nozzle is wasted in a spot spraying situation. This is why all WEED-IT nozzles are a narrow 40 degree banding nozzle to concentrate spray onto each target.
Several Nozzle options and sizes are available to tailor the rate and spray quality to the job at hand.
TP4003
40 degree #03 Banding Nozzle
Spot Fan
40 degree #02, #03, #04 Air inducted low drift Banding Nozzle
60 degree full cone nozzle for targeting vertical, hard to hit targets
