Water in our World Where is the world´s water? Water in the world is divided into different groups. This are: 1. Freshwater 2. Surface water and other fresh water 3. Salt water The higher amount of water in the earth is the water in oceans. As you can see in the graph below there are lots of different types of water all around the world that can be found with different compositions from one another. The water in this graph is being reused again and again using the water cycle.
