URBAN DESIGN

Over the past five years I have fully developed and progressed on the career ladder from Assistant level up to Senior level having the chance to being involved on a wide range of urban design projects and RIBA stages (1-3). As part of the Boyer Design team I have worked on numerous Vision documents, Pre-Planning Applications, Outline Planning Applications - Parameter Plans and Design & Access Statements, Reserved Matters and Design Codes. The type of work is including masterplanning, layouting, regeneration, public realm and architecture projects. Focusing on housing delivery mainly, I have been involved in a wide range of project sizes with schemes of 50 up to 1500 units and RM of 200-300 units. As a Senior, I take on responsibilities such as project management, mentoring junior staff and starting with this year I have also been nominated as a quality controller in terms of graphics and masterplans.

RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE | MINOR DEVELOPMENTS

MARY HACKETT & ASSOCIATES

CREEK STUDIO | HAMPTON COURT | SURREY | UK

020 8979 1822

Working as an Assistant Architect at Mary Hackett & Associates I had the chance to be involved in over 60 residential projects (minor developments - extensions, new built 1-2 units). The key accountabilities of my role spread across the five RIBA stages: initial discussions & fee letters, site surveys, designing, preparing drawings for planning applications, writing design and access statements for minor developments, preparing building regulation and tender drawings, liaising with planning authorities and clients, site management contract administration. During and following employment at MH & Assoc. I have also undertaken freelance projects as a sole practitioner.

Mary Hackett (Architect B.Arch RIBA) formed the practice in 1988 following 15 years of experience with other organisations, originally acting as a sole practitioner. The studio covers educational, commercial and mainly residential work throughout Greater London and South East.

The Creek Studio moved to its present premises in 1997 and became a LTD in 2003. The work portfolio has expanded to include a greater range of building types, project management and speculative housing.

METROPOLITAN AREA | EU TERRITORIAL STUDIES

2013 - 2015

The key accountabilities of my role as an Urban Planner included co-ordination and elaboration of a metropolitan study related to a comparison between Bucharest and other European capitals. I was involved in framing the methodology, gathering information (data) and synthesizing it on various levels. The analysis was developed side by side with the study of the metropolitan area of Bucharest. Among many other things, the experience I have gained in this position relates on one hand to the ability of synthesizing information and develop strategies on various territorial levels and on the other hand to co-ordinating sensitively with all parties involved in the process - clients, consultants, communities.

ARNAIZ is a Consultancy company with the head office based in Madrid and other offices around Europe (Including Bucharest at the time being) and South America.

The multidisciplinary team is characterised by a deep knowledge of the whole process of land transformation, including legal and administrative issues, as well as architecture and real estate advising.

CONCLUSIONS

• The urban agglomeration is usually concentrated in the centre of LUZ area in a concentric or tentacular form

• The transportation network has a radial or concentric structure

The rail network penetrates the central areas as intermodal nodes

Aerial and maritime transport networks: at least one airport and a harbour

• Economical activities are located in close relationship with the infrastructure - around the rail corridors and airports

• The big green areas are located close to the central fabric (10km radius) and form a network with the urban green zones
