ONGOING JOINT HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION IN BLEDSOE COUNTY RESULTS IN ADDITIONAL ARRESTS CHATTANOOGA – An ongoing and joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, deputies with the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department and officers with the Pikeville Police Department has resulted in additional arrests in the April homicide of a Pikeville man. Ê At the request of 12th District Attorney General J. Michael Taylor, on April 20th, TBI Agents joined Bledsoe County deputies and Pikeville Police officers in a missing person investigation. Thomas R. Rogers (DOB 02/18/1988) of Pikeville had been reported missing by a family member the day before. On April 24th, a deputy found Mr. Rogers’ body in a wooded area off Valley View Road in Pikeville. During the course of the investigation, Agents and deputies developed information that resulted in Nakayla Sullivan being charged on April 26th in connection to the homicide. Through the ongoing investigation, further information was developed that indicated Marcelino Leal and Keiven Bundy also had involvement in the death of Mr. Rogers.

On Monday, the Bledsoe County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Nakayla Sullivan (DOB 11/29/1992) with one count of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder.

Marcelino Leal (DOB 10/ 17/1995), below middle, is charged with one count of First Degree Murder, one count of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, one count of Employing Firearm with Intent to go Armed, and one count of Aggravated Assault.

And Keiven Lee Bundy (06/07/1988), below right, is charged with one count of First Degree Murder, one count of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, one count of Employing Firearm with Intent to go Armed, and one count of Possession of Weapon by Convicted Felon.

All three individuals were booked at the Bledsoe County Jail, where they are currently being held without bond.

MEMPHIS MAN ADDED TO TBI’S ‘TOP 10 MOST WANTED’ LIST NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new addition to its ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ list: Eric Anton Balkin.

Balkin is an African-American man who stands 5’7” and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the TBI at 1-800-TBIFIND. There is a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.

Balkin (DOB 12-21-82) is wanted by the Memphis Police Department and TBI to face four counts of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, 13 counts of Aggravated Robbery, nine counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of Intentionally Evading Arrest in an Automobile.

Additionally, Balkin is also wanted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for Assault and the United States Marshals Service for a Probation Violation on a prior Robbery charge.

Balkin has exhibited violent tendencies and should be considered dangerous.

Couple accused of leaving kids home alone with loaded gun

JULY 24, 2018ÊÊWBBJ 7 EYEWITNESS NEWS STAFF JACKSON, Tenn. —ÊPolice arrest a mother and father accused of leaving their children home alone with a loaded gun.

ELECT Demetrius Dixon and Carrisca Hankins appeared Tuesday in Jackson City Court, each charged with four counts of child abuse and neglect.

Police say they are accused of leaving four children home alone Madison County Constable Monday afternoon at an apartment on Rachel Drive.

Officers say the children are between 3 months and 8 years old.

Investigators say they also found a loaded gun in the apartment.

July 25, 2018ÊÊMallory Cooke JACKSON, Tenn. — Police arrest three people accused of identity theft. Investigators said they found the group at a Jackson motel with more than $70,000 in cash.

Maria Serban, Casandra Badea and Gheorge Marian appeared Wednesday in Jackson City Court, each now formally charged with identity theft trafficking.

Police said a First Tennessee Bank employee caught a man and woman using multiple credit cards Sunday to get cash at their ATMs in Jackson.

“The two suspects fled on foot when officer attempted to detain them,” Jackson City Court Judge Blake Anderson read from an affidavit.

Police said they found the trio Sunday at the Red Roof Inn on North Highland Avenue. Investigators said they found more than 200 credit cards, credit card skimming devices, ATM parts and components, a credit card encoder, a laptop and $70,924 in cash inside their motel room, according to court documents.

Jackson police said the suspects are all from Romania. “How long have you been in Jackson?” Anderson asked.

“Like two to three days,” Serban responded.

Police said this is a joint investigation with the U.S. Secret Service that spans multiple jurisdictions. Police said Immigration and Customs Enforcement is also involved.

Officers said they are trying to determine the number of victims and where they are from.

First Tennessee Bank released the following statement: “We are cooperating with law enforcement following incidents of unauthorized ATM transactions in Jackson. We encourage customers to review their accounts carefully and to report any suspicious activity by calling our Card Claims Center at 877-242-9895.”

All three suspects are being held at the Madison County jail in lieu of $150,000 bond each. They are scheduled to return to court Aug. 2 at 9:30 a.m.

#CrimeSEENnews-Nashville TWO MEN JAILED IN GEORGIA FOR 2017 NASHVILLE MURDER

Laquan Redmon Arrested for the July 17th Murder 7/24/2018 East Precinct officers this afternoon arrested Laquan Redmon, 28, for the July 17th fatal shooting of Adrian Montgomery, 27, in the 200 block of Maplewood Trace. Members of the East Flex team took Redmon into custody near North 6th Street.

7/26/2018 Two men wanted for the August 31, 2017 drug-related murder of Kevion Tate, 18, in a parking lot of Hickory Trace Apartments on Hickory Hollow Place are in custody in Georgia and will be returned to Nashville in the coming days.

Barry Ricks, 33, was taken into custody at a home in Clayton County, Georgia, near Atlanta, by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.

Micher F. Louissaint Louissaint, 26, was arrested by federal agents at the Atlanta airport as he was preparing to board a plane for California.

A third co-defendant, Trevario T. Pillar, 23, was arrested by MNPD officers on April 9th of this year. All have been indicted on charges of firstdegree murder and especially aggravated robbery.

Last August 31st, officers were called to Hickory Trace Apartments after witnesses reported hearing shots and seeing multiple vehicles flee the parking lot. Tate was found on the pavement and rushed to a hospital where he died.
