Breast Cancer affects us all every year. We know that it is something that is very close to the hearts of millions of Cricut Community members, and so this October we are giving back through the help of our community. Cricut is donating $1000 and hopes to raise another $1000 through the support of the Cricut community during or Breast Cancer Awareness Month or Pink October.
We are always heartened to hear of members who are using their machine to make a difference. Cricut users constantly show their generosity for supporting causes. By partnering with Cricut in this effort we are able to bring our community together again to collectively use creativity as a way to raise funds for this deserving cause. We have all been affected in one way or another by Breast Cancer and together we are fighting to support everyone who goes through it. Together we make a difference.
By creating Pink projects during October, tagging your project in Design Space using #CricutPinktoberMETA you can be a part of the fundraising initiative. For every project made and tagged in Design Space Cricut will donate $1 per project raining money for the Breast cancer association. Let’s help this worthy cause by crafting pink all month long.
Lani creates this gorgeous Mug set complete with a gift box and matching stickers using her Explore 3 - lets take a look at how she creates from start to finish.
Hi, my name is Lani - My Cricut journey began in February 2022 when I came across an article about a mother creating personalized crafts for her daughter using Cricut. Intrigued, I delved into learning more about Cricut, watching numerous tutorials, and discovered the endless creative possibilities it offers. Since then, I have been eager to have one of my own. Several months later, my husband surprised me with a Cricut Explore3 and various Cricut materials. I adore working with Cricut and exploring its capabilities. Crafting memories and creating beautiful things bring me immense joy. Personalizing items with Cricut has become a favourite pastime. Getting involved in crafting with Cricut has not only provided me with a fulfilling hobby but has also connected me to an amazing community of like-minded individuals, where I’ve formed lasting friendships. Let’s continue to create beautiful memories together!
Materials To Cut
Cricut Permanent Vinyl (Pink)
Everything Else
Cricut Explore 3
Printer
Waterproof Clear Sticker Paper
Photographic Paper
Double Sided Tape
MUG BOX BAG TYPE Design: Start by opening Cricut Design Space, selecting “New Project,” and utilizing basic shapes along with the editing tools—such as Slice, Unite, and Attach—to create a mug box bag design. Next, look for ready-made images, apply the offset feature, and then flatten them for the Print then Cut option to craft your Pinktober-themed mug and mug box bag type.
For the MUG: For the mug, utilize the same images and set the operation to “Print then Cut” for the girl with ribbons. For the other designs, switch the operation to basic cut, as we will be using Cricut Permanent vinyl for those.
Cut Assemble
After finalizing your design, click “Make It” to send it to the printer, then proceed to cut it with your Cricut machine. Ensure that your machine is calibrated for precise cutting. Then send to print your designs for the “Print then Cut” feature, and then ready the Cricut permanent vinyl for cutting other designs with your Cricut machine.
Process:
Begin by preparing the mug, ensuring it is clean using alcohol or a lint remover.
Next, use a weeding tool to remove any unwanted vinyl, revealing the design.
Employ Cricut Transfer Tape to carefully transfer the design onto the mug.
Finally, Apply the waterproof clear sticker onto the mug.
Mug Box Bag Type Assembly:
Collect all the printed pieces, apply double-sided tape to all connection points, and use a double-sided adhesive patch to secure the front side of the mug box bag type.
