Developing a Business Relevant HR Function Adding value through analysis, relevance and evidence THURSDAY 2 FEBRUARY | BRUSSELS EUROPEAN MASTERCLASS Over 20 years CRF has built a unique insight into the purpose of HR through its research and interactions with over 180 international members. We have synthesised these insights into a manifesto of what HR should stand for and how the function needs to develop to ensure it is value adding in every organisation. The key message is HR isn’t about HR alone, but about how we build the capability of our organisations to create value. At this masterclass we will share our thinking, as well as insights from top academics in the field together with case studies looking at how organisations have undertaken the journey to business relevance.

why attend? Book your place at this European masterclass and benefit from the opportunity to: • Challenge your thinking about how HR can add value and what you should prioritise • Explore the latest academic thinking from leading professors and how you can implement their thinking into your organisation • Understand how to use evidence to challenge what HR does and how you can maximise your value to the organisation • Learn from two practical case studies at leading organisations on their journey in ensuring HR is business relevant • Share experiences from a day of formal exchange and informal networking with your peers in order to improve your effectiveness by learning from others. In summary, the masterclass gives you the unique opportunity to reflect on your role, be inspired by leading academics and hear practical suggestions to ensure your time as a HR leader is spent in the most effective and business focussed way.

“CRF seems to get it consistently right about what the key topics are, that we as HR professionals are wrestling with. In my opinion, their research papers are highly relevant and valuable and the conferences attract people at the highest level in HR. Their European arm is also proving to be a useful networking forum for like-minded individuals.” JENNIFER MONON, SENIOR HR DIRECTOR, ING

THE SPEAKERS Pat Wright is Thomas C. Vandiver Bicentennial Chair in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
