The Crefeld Courier The Newsletter for Alumni, Parents, and Friends of The Miquon Upper School and The Crefeld School A Biannual Newsletter
Students showcased a semester’s worth of work on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Winter Arts Celebration. Once again the gymnasium was transformed into a sleek art gallery (thanks in large part to alumni parent and Crefeld board member, Andy deLone and the magic of lighting and draping.) Stunning glass pieces, large canvases covered in collages, mixed media pieces, and new to the show, a fiber arts corner! Alice in Wonderland and King Midas’ Foolery were skillfully adapted and performed by G and F Blocks, respectively, to the delight of the audience. The Crefeld Dancers boogied to some Big Band music and also made a surprise appearance at the end of one of the musical performances. The Crefeld Courier

Winter Arts Celebration
Let’s end where the show began with the musical review. In music class, F and G Block students concentrated on the music in film and television. Their choice of songs reflected their course of study. Two sets of talented musicians performed Melt with You from the film, Valley Girl; Age of Aquarius from the play,
Hair; Stayin’ Alive from the film,Saturday Night Fever; and a lively rendition of Got To Be Real from the documentary, Paris is Burning. Bravo, Crefelders! We enjoyed the artwork, the music, the dancing, the acting, and most of all, we loved how you show.
