Reflection on Our Past Events! Annual Alzheimer's Walk Held each year at LaCenterra (Cinco Ranch), the Alzheimer's Walk has become a major part of Key Club's events. Members volunteer to not only help with important tasks, but also to show their support for the fight against Alzheimer's Disease, a degenerating condition which has negatively harmed the lives of many! It's time to stand up and fight!

FBLA Dodgeball Tournament In partnership with the MCHS Future Business Leader's of America Chapter, Key Club participates in their dodgeball tournament each year to show our support! By participating, we help raise money for their organization while also getting to face off against the other extracurriculars that exist in our campus! This event is not only fun, but extremely helpful for FBLA!

Bear Creek Elementary Carnival Held annually at Bear Creek Elementary, this carnival is a great way for our members to interact with the amazing students at BCE. Each year, Key Club gets to help run the concession stands, games, and events to help create unique memories for students! This is a fun and rewarding experience for both our members and the amazing kids!

Mayde Creek Key Club Adaptations to COVID-19 During these uncertain t ime s, doin g volunteer work and me e t in g regularly can be quite dif ficult but we have f ound ways to ove r come these challenges. To ensur e t h at all of our events f ollow COVI D-19 sa fe t y protocols, we will be imp leme n t in g virtual events. Since we ar e un able to meet in person, we h ave also decided to start holdin g vir t ual meetings with our me mbe r s t o discuss plans and ideas for t h e 2020- 2021 school year. Ke y C lub is an organization that was foun ded on the principles of volun t e e r wor k. Ultimately, although COVI D-19 will impact our original plan s, we will continue to strive f or succe ss!

New Event Idea: EZ Student Tutoring Introduction to the Idea: The Student Tutoring event is a virtual event made to connect High School Students to KISD Elementary Students through a video call. You will be responsible for reading and tutoring students while displaying a positive attitude throughout the whole session. You will NOT need any former experience in tutoring, but must show proof of prior academic abilities. (Event is PENDING!)

Purpose: Support Students! With many parents being too busy to help their children with school questions, our main priority is to ensure that all students have access to quick and reliable academic help! Ultimately, future student academic performance relies heavily on a strong foundation in elementary school and our program is aimed at doing exactly that! Note: Event has NOT been finalized!

Event Details & Requirements: Duration: Entire School Year Frequency: Once/Week Requirement: 10-12 Grade Location: Home/Remote Prerequisites: Volunteer MUST fill out an application form to check tutoring/school abilitiesÂ

New Event Idea: Teacher Assistants Introduction to the Idea: MCHS Teachers can submit a Google Form requesting assistance for tasks that students are able to assist/help with. Members that apply for this event will be assigned to a teacher and be forwarded task requests. Depending on the teacher and task, some may also work in groups. Ultimately, this event will be based on teacher needs.

Purpose: Support Teachers! With the COVID-19 situation, many teachers have become extremely stressed and overwhelmed with their workload. Through this event, teachers can be relieved from some of their tasks. As the saying goes at Mayde Creek, we are all one big #FAM1LY so it is our duty to help one another! Note: Event has NOT been finalized!

Event Details & Requirements: Duration: Entire School Year Frequency: As Requested Requirement: 9-12 Grade Location: Home/Remote Prerequisites: Volunteers MUST respond to Google Forms or Remind Messages as requested

New Event Idea: Artists for Doctors Introduction to the Idea: In the Artists for Doctors Event, student volunteers will be asked to create small cards or notes with messages to thank doctors and other medical staff for their hard work throughout the pandemic. With this event, small cards or notes will be delivered to local/nearby hospitals to show our appreciation for their hard work.

Purpose: Support Doctors! With the COVID-19 situation, doctors have become a vital resource in both stopping the spread and helping those affected. This event helps to show our amazing community how much we value our local medical staff. Additionally, these cards can serve as both a thank you notice and a source of motivation for doctors during hard and stressful times. Note: Event has NOT been finalized!

Event Details & Requirements: Duration: Entire School Year Frequency: Once/Month Requirement: 9-12 Grade Location: Home/Remote Prerequisites: None, Volunteers are just required to fill out a Google Form upon completionÂ
