KliX has specially designed, Engineer Certified 6005A-T5 aluminium extruded posts, finished with specified weather-protection polyester and powdercoating process.

KliX uses premium, locally sourced steel that has been certified by the Australasian Certification Authority for Reinforcing and Structural Steels (ACRS) for product and process conformance to AS/NZS 1163.

All timber is sourced from sustainable Australian plantations.

KliX use recycled/ recyclable HDPE as well as offer an engineered timbergrain-finish HPL (High Pressure Laminate) designed for superior UV stability in material finish and colour to suit the Australian environment.

Aluminium is used predominantly to improve corrosion resistance.

Slides are moulded using bright-coloured and UV stabilised linear low-density polyethylene powders.

RECYCLABLE

The KliX Play Structures range is designed and manufactured in Wollongong and has been structurally assessed and certified

by SOTO Consulting Engineers and Jordan Mealey & Partners Engineering Consultants.

KliX uses timber such as Cypress Pine and Ironbark.

Ironbark has a Class 1 durability rating, perfect for heavy bearing structural use and longevity.

Custom Engineer-Certified Extrusions and sturdy round hollow sections are used, finished with polyester powder-coating.

KliX tube slides have 9mm thick walls that prevent warping & sagging. All KliX tube slides use interlocking flanges to ensure perfect alignment - for a smooth and safe sliding experience.

KliX Play Structures offer highly durable play equipment that use industry-leading 100mm square engineered aluminium posts, responsibly-sourced HDPE and structural HPL panels, coupled with low-corrosion aluminium frames and protective powder-coating.

KliX use Australian-made, recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) across their entire range.

Rope is manufactured specifically for the playground industry in Australia.

KliX opt to use a premium coil-wound spring, especially developed for the playground industry.

KliX SWINGplay is certified and predominantly made of stainless steel.

The KliX SPINNERplay range use Australianmade bearings.

All HDPE components are CNC machined, UV stabilized, hard-wearing and fully recyclable.

Central galvanized-steel core is braided with Nylon material.

The formed and hardened steel spring, is zinc plated and powder-coated.

Frames are fabricated specifically to suit the engineering requirements.

Plastic, stainless steel and aluminium fittings are specially designed for complex playground net systems.

The ground anchor is fabricated from steel and galvanized.

Ø6mm diameter short link stainless steel SS304 chain is suited for playgrounds and complies with Australian Safety Standards.

The KliX ZIPLINEplay range and components has been structurally certified and approved for use in Australian play-spaces.

Rubber seats are locally sourced.

PLAYSTRUCTURES

To protect equipment from marine environments, UV rays and corrosive air, KliX Play Structures use a combination of CoastGard™ Corrosion-Resistant Materials, strict processors and specialised primers.

POWDER-COAT MARINE PROTECTION All aluminium components are whip blasted, acid washed and coated with Epoxyprime. Epoxyprime is resistant to many common inorganic acids, bases and salts, organic acids and certain organic solvents. Once a coat of Epoxyprime has been applied, it is followed by the final powder-coating colour.

All steel components are whip blasted, acid washed and coated with Zincoprime.

Zincoprime is based on epoxy resins and special hardeners that further protect the steel from corrosion. Once the Zincoprime has thermoset, a coat of Epoxyprime is applied, followed by the final powder-coating colour.

For all timbergrain powder-coating finishes, the powder-coat is performed twice via an automated powder-coating line.

HOT DIP GALVANISING (COMPLIANT TO AS4680) All welded steel structures are hot dip galvanised.

Hot dip galvanising provides a very high-level of corrosion resistance. The zinc layer oxidises and forms a hard barrier that keeps corrosive elements at bay. Should the zinc layer get scratched, the surrounding zinc will electro-chemically migrate to the damaged area and effectively self repair.

POWDER-COAT WITH HIGH QUALITY GALVANISING A galvanising stage is performed during the manufacture of the raw material.

This provides an extra layer of protection underneath the primer and powdercoat layers – It too has the same self-repairing qualities as a typical galvanised component.

STAINLESS STEEL PLATES Stainless steel plates and stainless steel welds are used to bond non-galvanised steel components to the play structure. Even if minor damage occurs when parts are bolted together, the stainless steel plates will not corrode.

HARDWARE All hardware used are either 304 or 316 grade stainless steel. All standard security fasteners are 304 stainless steel.

The KliX SIGNATUREplay range is primarily catered to the

KLIX PLAY STRUCTURES GUARANTEE KliX Play Structures (KliX) does not generally guarantee against cosmetic defects, including scratches or dents other than prior to delivery of the equipment to the customer’s site. An allowance for wear and tear based on the equipment age will be considered on a pro-rata basis.

The limited product warranty does not otherwise cover defects such as aesthetic imperfections, colour fading, impact of extreme weather events, corrosion, incorrect installation, fire damage, vandalism or misuse, and representations by any person including any implied warranty of merchantability of fitness.

It is recommended that the play equipment is washed down regularly to clean away salt deposits from the equipment, especially when installed in highly corrosive environments. Pay particular attention to the underside of structures and if the equipment is installed under any shelter that rain cannot naturally reach.

Timber will naturally be susceptible to splitting, cracking, distorting, splintering and weathering. Where these defects do not directly impact the structural integrity of the play equipment, they are otherwise not explicitly covered under this warranty. KliX Play Structures highly recommends regular ongoing maintenance and care for any timber elements as part of any play space, including surface treatment.
