Creative Download was launched by Iain Kimmins; a Visual Merchandising professional with an outstanding history in the industry.

His career includes the department stores Harrods and Selfridges in London and as Head of Visual Merchandising for Tangs in Singapore. He has also worked on retail projects based in Shanghai, New York, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland.

Creative Download worked in Saudi Arabia on the launch “Nice Home Store”.

This was a Flagship store with a planned roll out of more stores across the country.

This Home/Interior store offered a Bridal Registry, Food Demonstration Kitchen, Cook Shop, Bed & Bath, Gifts, Travel and Home Accessories.

From a single shop in 1919, Jashanmal Group’s retail operations now spans over 150 stores in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, KSA, and India.

Creative Download work with The Jashanmal Group on an on-going basis to deliver and implement a new and exciting VM strategy for their stores in Dubai and multiple stores across the Middle East.

Projects include Store concepts/Store Re-merchandising, VM Training and Store Openings.

The Kingfisher Group, launched Vivid Homes, a leading home improvement centre, in the bustling city of Shanghai.

Creative Download worked for a number of months on the conceptualisation/design/planning/merchandising/visual presentation of this new concept store.

Creative Download worked with Dufry, the Swiss based Travel retailer, to improve in-store VM communication strategy in order to drive business forward and to give the retail stores a cohesive look.

With the growth of travel retail, customers’ expectations are changing, and they are also wanting the same customer service and store experience as they would find in their local shopping malls.

Singapore has long been the ideal destination for that stop-over to the Far East and on to Australia. With its superb transport links on the island, lush green spaces, litter free, friendly locals, and great retail in the numerous malls and the famous Orchard Road, it’s no wonder that it attracts a huge number of visitors each year.

Given lain’s background of mid-to-high end stores, lain was the ideal candidate to bring a Western feel and personality to this iconic Asian store. Tangs is regarded as a principal shopping destination.

Tangs is a leading player in the retail industry which raises the bar in retail, stepping up its role in retail as an Asian retailer with international brands while redefining the shopping experience with a refreshed store concept.

In addition to the ‘hands-on’ visual merchandising work, myself and my VM team run Visual Merchandising Training sessions, and compile Visual Merchandising Guidelines.
